great friendly staff, great location, lovely old building

Very friendly staff

The room was very clean. The service at the bar was second to none. We really enjoyed it stay, over 2 nights at the Cairn hotel.

No hit water.. no heating .. very dated room and bathroom.. we were given another room that had heating and hot water, but still very dated. Bar was ok and prices were about right for a hotel. Breakfast , served buffet, prefer to help myself and not be given what the server thinks , like at school, eggs looked soft fried, but were hard. I suppose it was fair for the price we oaid

The temperature in the bathroom was very cold. I found the hotel staff provided an excellent service

There was a good selection, although the Mushrooms and Black pudding were over done.

The staff are freindly helpful and always available. This is an old Victorian building with plenty of free car parking spaces. Within walking distance to the centre which is about 10 mins albeit uphill near the hotel coming back, there is a bus stop just outside and you can get the 36 bus to the bus station which is next to the train station and access to thd main shopping area

Good location, short walk into town centre. Very helpful reception staff. Large very clean room and bath. Great to have full size bath. Large free carpark. Will definitely stay again.
