Great location to explore the plaza. Beautiful inside. Very friendly staff. Secure off site parking garage. Great for motorcycles. Definitely will stay again.

This property is in the middle of the zocalo so you are in the middle of everything, now for how expensive this hotel is , because believe is really expensive in mexican pesos is crazy expensive for what you get, the hotel beds are so hard like rocks, the rooms do not have a refrigerator and if you go in hot spring/summer days you will need ice bucket to put your water bottles to get cold at least ,the hotel is too old so do not have any amenities , no gym, no pool, hotels near by have more to give than this hotel for the same prices, also keep in mind that you will hear noise from the music of all around the zocalo square until 1am , so if you are a night person is perfect but if you want to go to sleep around 9pm Good luck with that, you will be listening to music until late night, so the only positive is that the staff all the ladies are the nicest ladies super nice staff but remember you only interact with staff if you need so . I wish this hotel does a better job making it a better or same standards as all the other hotels around it.

Location is excellent, was worried about noise since it is right in the heart of the city, and others had mentioned it was noisy, but I experienced no problems. It is a little dated but nothing overly concerning.

Very nice place to stay

Room 409 has the best view of the zocalo and easy walking distance to great restaurants, museums , cathedrals and shopping. Thank you HMV!

I expected this much and I got so much more! The view of the main cathedral from my room! Very nice room. While little luggage a uniformed hotel employee came to meet us at the parking lot. What else? Now I know something magical will happen on the main square but I am still having great time around having amazing cocktails and meeting local people

Loved how spacious the room was. Staff reception was in disbelief that I had made a reservation even after showing my itinerary # and confirmation #. “Never judge a book by its cover” overall great hotel and beautiful food, people, and ambience all around

This was our second stay at Hotel Marques del Valle and we enjoyed it as much as the first. The hotel staff is wonderful, friendly, efficient, pleasant. We prefer the west side (front) of the hotel with a view of both the cathedral and Zocalo Plaza. The Plaza is filled with music and sometime dancing Friday-Sunday so it is a noisy until 10-12pm but with windows closed, you can stil sleep. This time we had 3 people so got a corner Jr. Suite, however the 3rd bed not really ideal as in the entry area. We prefer the room facing west with one or two beds depending on needs, and 3rd floor or higher. The first floor is at the 2nd level so if you prefer to take the stairs, then the 1st or 2nd floor might be preferable. The restaurant on the 2nd floor is excellent for breakfast. Located in centro, the hotel is within a 10-12 minute walk of most attractions and cabs are available in front of the Cathedral if needed. Enjoy your stay in Oaxaca on Zocalo Plaza.

Nice hotel overlooking the Zocalo, so u will get the noise from the area. Prices tend to be too high but it's clean & comfortable. We only had a small issue with the water leaking out through a hole onto the bathroom floor. I was given the wrong room in the back of the hotel when I had booked a park/square view & when I asked to change rooms the receptionist was hesitant which made no sense as the hotel was half empty.

Nice ,clean and confort

All the staff were wonderful. It was in a perfect location right on the Zocalo where all the NewYear's activities were going on and easy access to a lot of the historic sites, restaurants, arts and crafts, food stores and the two major historic markets. The only downsides are the tile floor in the shower is very slippery and the beds are not comfortable. The hotel is a historic building which is well maintained. We loved would stay there again.

Not worth for the price. There's no TV, rooms smell like sewer, and beds are extremely hard and old.

They help me after arriving and looking that I was on a wheelchair they help me to find a room for me 406 and 304 are the correct rooms for a wheelchair

Right in the center of the Zocalo, which made it easier to explore the area!
