Unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing and we do not feel the accommodation we received reflected either the description of the room we booked or the price paid. We specifically booked and paid for a Superior Twin Room, expecting a noticeably higher standard. However, the room appeared to be little different from a standard twin room. It was very small, the bathroom was extremely cramped, there was no fridge, no complimentary bottled water, only two very small milk portions for tea, and only a single towel provided in the bathroom. Overall, the room felt basic rather than "superior." One issue that particularly concerned me was the bathroom lighting. When switched on, the light flickered so severely that it resembled a strobe light. Aside from being unpleasant, I believe this could pose a genuine health risk for guests with photosensitive epilepsy or other neurological conditions. I would strongly encourage this to be investigated, particularly in Room 54. The hotel itself was also exceptionally busy due to a function taking place. Reception was consistently crowded, staff understandably appeared occupied with wedding guests, and most of the seating in the public areas was taken for much of our stay. As a result, we were unable to relax or enjoy the facilities we had expected. The pool was the only redeeming feature.

The manager was very helpful and polite.

Needs TLC, not enough staff. Lounge bar area had dirty tables, glasses cleared but not wiped. Hospitality tray milk had gone off and was solid. Glass shelf in bathroom falling off wall, sink was blocked took ages for water to dissappear. Shower tray waste blocked water did not go down, it overflowed into bathroom. Used the bath towels to mop it up.

Very friendly and helpful staff

Our room was nice. But our friends room aircon was faulty. It was on one of heat wave days and the hotel had service personel on site to reset it. Staff didn't really seem to know what was going on. It appeared like the hotel was lacking senior management. Some drinks we sold out at the bar and they had no snacks. But all in all, stay was good for us. Just our friends room was like a sauna.

Very disappointing no better than a premier inn and twice the price no water or fridge in room and breakfast was worse than premier inn Was going to book a family stay for Christmas unfortunately will have to look else where definitely won’t be returning

This hotel is good value and in a good location. The beds are comfy, and nice decor. I feel the TV is too small, bathroom tap is very wobbly, and the corridor and doors paintwork is very scratched and shabby. I did put about the paintwork on last review a couple of months ago when we stayed, but nothing has been improved. Just needs a lick of paint and it would be much better! My bathroom door also looks very shabby and disintegrating at the bottom.

The room was fairly clean, some stains on the carpet and the chair. The wardrobe was blocking the Aircon so it didn't work that well, the bottom if the bathroom door was rotting away. The tap barely reached the sink and had no pressure making washing hands a struggle.

Overall very pleasant stay, comfortable bed and air con was a boon with this extremely warm weather. Breakfast very satisfactory We found some members of staff would benefit from some extra training, in the bar especially, the bartender was less than obliging on several occasions, almost grunting a response with regard to bottled water. Perhaps a water dispenser in the public areas would help in the summer Also please check your milk sachets, the milk was off

The hotel should not have been taking bookings. We arrived at 11am having requested an early check in (this is one of their selling points on the website) to be told the room would t be ready for a while. Which was ok as we wanted to use the pool and have some lunch anyway. However we were told we couldn’t use the pool as there were proximate swimming lessons until 1.30pm and that The bar and restaurants were not opening as all the staff were focusing on a wedding. When I asked what time they would open I was told they would not be opening at all. Eventually the manager came and we got some water (it was 32 degrees) and a free Diet Coke. The room was small but fine once we got in. I would not recommend as it feels like it’s not equit to cater for hotel guests just events.

Breakfast staff Grace was wonderful both mornings. She greeted us with smile and was very professional.

A wonderful stay, everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious. We will be back 😁

I booked a superior twin room with 1 week in advance of travelling, when we arrived the room we were given was a deluxe double. I spoke with reception and they said there was no superior twin available, how can this been when I booked a week prior to arriving? We were then downgraded to a standard twin which was made up as a double which again wasnt any good, so we went back to reception again and complained, the housekeeper came and said to us why did we book that room as it was clearly made up for a double and we said we didnt, we had been downgraded, so they had to make both beds up as twins and they gave us 2 drinks vouchers as compensation, which really wasnt enough for all the hastle we had to go through when the booking was clear enough we had booked a twin room. It also didnt help that we got back from our outing at midnight to then have people up and down the corridor of the annexe slamming and shouting when we were trying to get to sleep, especially as we had to be up again at 4am to continue our itinerary and we probably wouldnt have had any of that disturbance had we been in the correct room in the main hotel, instead of being stuck in the annexe. Certainly wouldn't stay again as can't even give you the room you booked with enough notice, so what is the point of booking in the first place?

The staff was very nice but the room was very dirty. Every where you looked it needed cleaned. Ok for a 1 night stay but not more than that.

Everything was going well evening meal was lovely in the restaurant and really are only negative feedback came the following morning at breakfast. Unfortunately, the coffee was undrinkable and the scrambled eggs were inedible, which was disappointing. Following breakfast, we decided to go for a swim before checking out, only to be advised that swimming lessons were taking place between 9:30am and 1:00pm and that we would therefore not be able to access the pool area. To the best of my knowledge, this restriction was not made clear during the booking process or upon check-in. This was particularly disappointing as my son had been very much looking forward to swimming that morning and it was one of the reasons we chose to stay at the hotel. Otherwise all good

Mattress was a disaster. Two single beds pushed together as requested for me and my partner but two completely different mattresses, one hard and one soft and too soft that it caused hip pain. A/C was blowing out on/off hot & cold all night. Won’t be staying here again as it was a night before an important interview. Thanks for that!
