I’ve worked in customer service so I’m one of those people who are not hard to please and don’t like complaining. The first room I got as soon as you entered the whole room smelt like mold/mildew. I now work as a dorm room coordinator so I know the signs and how it can spread onto objects and cause health issues. I went to the front desk and told them the issue and their solution was offering air freshener. I then explained that it wasn’t about the smell, but what caused the smell that was a concern. I asked for either a room change or a refund. She immediately told me she cannot issue a refund (i understood) , but also told me she didn’t have any rooms like mine so I asked if I could speak with a manager or get a different style room. She goes to the back and talks to a manager on the phone and then came back and proceeded to offer me a different room at this point she had an attitude and threw my key onto the desk. I enter my new room and it’s the exact same style room I had before (the one she told me she had none of). Overall my experience here after that was mid at best. Breakfast was obviously old and the new room I had wasn’t even completely set up and missing things such as towels sheets so on.( which she could’ve told me wait and I would’ve again I’m not hard to please was overall very calm and nice throughout it and tried to be understanding)
