Friendly staff, great pools, and beautiful scenery.

Great location, friendly staff, good food.

Amazing!! Hotel was exactly as advertised. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway but within a reasonable distance to the tourist spots with a shuttle offered. We had breakfast each morning of our stay which was fantastic with plenty of options. The pineapple coconut juice was delicious and the self serve cafe machine was something we had never seen before. Restaurants on site with beautiful ocean views were delicious. Would definitely stay again if in the Algarve.

We stayed two nights at the Grande Real. It was okay but not amazing in my opinion. I felt the staff was not as friendly and accommodating as I am used to when staying at resorts. Some staff members were annoyed with our general questions and requests. This included desk staff and restaurant staff. The restaurants were inconsistent, not having food items we were told they would have - and a lot of it was sub par food and really expensive. Everything also closes pretty early so at night we felt the resort was pretty dead. Beach area was nice and pretty, but pools were small and bombarded by families with kids. We enjoyed ourselves more outside of the resort truthfully and would likely do a different option if we returned to Albufeira.

Room was great. The hotel itself was a big disappointment. Very outdated and not well maintained facilities. Pools are tiny but clean. Charged to use beach chairs which was ridiculous at the nightly rate we paid. Tons of seaweed on the beach - no clean up by staff. Slow front desk, not friendly. Wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

This hotel is absolutely spectacular in every way. Welcoming to solo travelers, couples of any kind, and families. Rooms are clean, staff is exceedingly friendly, food is amazing, and the resort itself is lovely.

Property was great. I’d say the best in the area for sure. Only complaint is the water smells quite awful. Other than that, fantastic!

The resort is located on a beautiful strip of beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The free shuttle into the new and old town was really great. Breakfast was delicious, value for money and lots of choice.

Impressive lobby and nice breakfast. Staff were not very friendly and the overall appearance was unkept and needed more maintenance.

Place was great, only minor complaint was that room was by kids pool which was a liuttl noisy during the day.

The hotel was fine but had a weird smell. I didn’t like the area at all. Felt very touristy and not the vibe we were after.

Nice hotel with friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Could use some upgrades and some things not in service, including tennis courts and tv smart connection. Overall the property could use some upgrades including the gym and the bathrooms. Views of ocean were excellent.

I would rate this hotel as Very Good, but it is not a 5 star property - more like 3.5-4 stars. We stayed in the villas which were clean and spacious with good facilities (kitchenette, cooking utensils etc) but tired and needed refreshing (i.e curtains with torn lining, varnish worn through on chairs and table, rusted clothes rack etc). The staff were largely lovely however encountered a few who were quite rude unnecessarily (Atlantico Restaurant manager completely ignored my mum patiently waiting to be seated and then when we tried to get his attention he barked at us that we needed a reservation - we had just arrived. Also, an employee dropping off room service aggressively said "you don't need to see the receipt, what did it say when you ordered" when I asked the cost of the items... after we had waited 1.5 hours for a chocolate mousse and english breakfast tea. In a true 5 star hotel, for that level of service, the items would have been gratis with an apology). Shoutout to Marco, Victor and Nicholas who were lovely and made up for it. Also, free transport to the old and new town was brilliant and much appreciated! Coach driver was ace! We really enjoyed the location and beaches and will return but with clearer expectations.

We booked a comfort double sea view room and were ever glad we did! What a view. The room was renovated and looked beautiful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom did not get renovated and was dated. It really didn’t go with the room but the view solved any doubts we had. The breakfast was excellent. Location was phenomenal and did I mention the view? We used Bolt to get to around in addition to walking You definitely stay here again.

Good choice of adult and child activities. Good choice of restaurants and bars. Close to the beach. Safe space

What a fantastic stay!! We really had the best time - such a beautiful resort! Amazing customer service, super friendly staff, beautiful views, lots of fun for the whole family! We’d love to go back!!
