Clean rooms. Great staff.

The rooms were comfortable, the staff was terrific and the location was good.

I stayed in this hotel 5/2023 and absolutely loved it! My room was spacious & beautiful, felt luxurious, & had an exceptionally nice bathroom. So, I booked for a 2 night stay May 2025. Completely different experience this time - small room, tiny bathroom w/ a shower I could barely stand up in (I’m 5’ 1”) with a sloping ceiling in the tiny shower. The sink was located outside of the shower/toilet room in the bedroom, INSIDE of a cabinet that did not have retracting doors. The room felt like a college dormitory (room 202), aesthetically, spatially, and design-wise it was definitely not what I was expecting based upon my stay in 2023. Based on my most recent stay, I would likely choose a different hotel. Sadly, they are no longer using the cute little robot to bring food to patrons in the bar either. Sometimes change is good, other times not at all.

Clean; comfortable and good customer service

I liked almost everything about this property. I had two issues. One, the glasses in the bathroom were glass. That is very unsafe because some of the time you are in the bathroom you are barefoot. If the glass fell, and it is not hard to see how that could happen, you would probably cut your foot. Two, the containers of shampoo, conditioner and bath gel in the shower were arranged in a way that it was difficult to get sufficient amounts out of the container, which was a nuisance.

Wow! What a find! A delightful hotel with amazing, welcoming staff. I usually stay in central Amsterdam but this is just a couple of stops on the metro and a short walk from the De Pijp metro station and sooooo much nicer. Highly recommended.

This was our third year staying here and we’ve always had a great stay! Service, cleanliness, restaurant…..always top notch!

I decided to give the hotel a second after having a first bad experience. This time was definitely better but the hotels service continues to fail in my opinion. The rooms are nice, but hotel breakfast was understaffed several days, which led to me not been able to order anything for breakfast in spite of waiting in the breakfast area for more than an hour, my order was never taken. At check in i got offered a complimentary check in drink on what the hotel said "on the house" to later realize that i was actually charged for the drink. Not a big deal, but worth double checking with the staff whether you will be charged by what they offer or not :) The rooms are pretty, simple, newly renovated which is very good. in general for the prices, the hotel could deliver better service in my opinion.

The hotel is entirely renovated, which is a great perk. The rooms are pretty nice, very simple but nice, though lacking a lot of things that you would expect from a four star hotel, and especially a Marriott hotel. The breakfast buffet Was very average, but more on the lower end, I feel that I have been to plenty of hotels of lower star rating with much better quality buffet breakfast. The breakfast items you were able to order were tasty. Service at the hotel was a different to most hotels I have been to. Had several issues with the cleaning that wasn’t done properly any of the days I stayed at the hotel. I found several hairs in the shower that were not coming from me, but they never were taken away my entire stay of six days. The room that I got assigned was also connected to two different rooms with no Soundproofing, which meant you could hear other guests doing everything as if they were right next to you and that affected my sleep quite a bit. When i asked the reception about it, they told me to put a towel to block the noise which felt strange. No toiletries are provided and the hotel reception doesn’t seem to know what they have and they don’t. Had several issues with my reservation and my card getting charged 4 times for the same reservation. Still waiting for a reply from the hotel manager regarding all the issues I encountered. In general a hotel with a lot of potential but lacking better management and procedures to accommodate international guests

Excellent property. Superb breakfast. Great location. Only issue was that the room was not quiet. We kept thinking the window was open hearing the street noise. We also had an adjoining door to our room to another room. You could hear absolutely everything, yes, absolutely everything. Unfortunate for the noise. Otherwise great place.

Excellent hotel in the last days of exterior painting and interior renovation. Staff couldn't have been nicer; our jr suite was on the corner and had three big windows. For our purposes (the Concertgrbouw, the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum) the location was ideal. Easy access to many tram lines as well

The lobby was under renovation so had to use the side entrance
