Its nice hotel, great helpful staff specially Christina!🙏 a few feet away from subway, bus and grocery. Mostly remodeled and clean. We got this hotel last minute since our Airb&b was not as expected. So we booked this hotel 30 min before checking in. They had to switch our room to get us a double bed after the first night. First room was perfect exept it has two twin bed. Second night we went to another room with double bed, hiw ever this room was not yet remodeled and had some minor cosmetics with the caulking on the bath tube and floor tiles. But overall nice, clean and convenient. Its worth the price, just ask for complete remodeled room.

The staff is excellent. The room was serviced every day and the beds were quite comfortable. There was a large selection for breakfast and the on-site restaurant was convenient for dinner. Metro stop across the street.

Awesome Hotel in Madrid. Very pleasant stay we had for 4 days. Staff was great, from the check in to the end check out. Excellent breakfast with awesome staff. Cleaness of the rooms, room service was great daily. Everything was excellent except the air conditioning - we couldn’t have control of it except on and off. It was a bit annoying blowing right on you during the night - the way vents were installed. Other than that - we had a very good experience in this hotel thought out 4 days. Thank you Catalonia front desk and back staff.

Is an ok hotel

Comfortable room and not noisy despite being on the main road. Good selection of reasonably priced local bars and restaurants. Easy access to on site paid parking

The hotel was very nice and surprisingly quiet. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good as well.

It was really hot here. We woke up in the middle of the night and the room was 24 degrees (76F) and we couldn’t turn off the heat. Later it was 27 (80F), so we had to open a window. The heat affected our sleep.

The hotel is located a good 15-20 min from Madrid city center and while it’s convenient to bus and rail it is far and traffic is tedious. The room was clean and staff was very attentive however the rooms do not have carpet which means you hear every single piece of luggage and furniture that is moved around. For that reason I deducted 2 stars. Also the AC is off in the entire building due to fall/ winter and that makes the rooms unbearably warm luckily you can open the window for air to come in.

Hotel Catalonia Del Retiro is a great place to stay while you visit Madrid. The front desk was phenomenal and we met people like Alvaro and Sarah who made our stay enjoyable and comfortable in every way, they gave us the extensions for the charging of all our devices and they also gave us lots of information about subway, subway station was like a two minute walk and eating area and a supermarket was maybe five minute walk, everything was so close to start with and the housekeeping was great too, nice clean warm bed every day when we came home and I like to thank you for that Miss Glenda and miss Isis and also thank you Alvaro and Sarah and I recommend this place for anybody who is in Madrid for a few days or longer.

I stayed for one night excellent staff and service

Disappointed. No mirrors in rooms which I find bizarrre in 2024 in a city like madrid. Only mirror is in bathroom so you cannot see your full body appearance… why I asked ?? They don’t know !!! Am I the only person who likes to see their whole body appearance not just my head . On another note front desk reception staff amazing. Extremely polite and helpful. Evening staff helped me with a little problem I had and were extremely helpful.

Nice hotel. It's clean, quiet, and has friendly staff. Although I never tried the breakfast, they do offer it. There is a mini supermarket in front of it, and a coffee and pastry shop next to it.
