We have stayed there before. We love th hotel. We stayed there the time that the Covid lockdown started just before Christmas. We had to travel to the US on Boxing Day. They were so helpful with us then, so we always return when we are in that area.

Hotel was in a lovely setting , inside was well maintained and clean . Room and beds were comfortable. Only thing which was disappointing was the breakfast, we stayed on a week night and breakfast finished at 9.30 , this is very early , we stay in many hotels on a year and 10am is the normal earliest finish time . Quality of breakfast was disappointing for such a grand hotel , no bread variety , no omelette option , eggs fried we overdone and the scrambled was sloppy and undercooked , inedible ,fruit was nice, staff were missing when things needed topping up . We had stayed at the Hilton double tree the night before, the breakfast there was much better quality which considering it is cheaper we were surprised. Just needs a few upgrades !

Lovely character old stately home / converted hotel with grounds. Beautiful high ceiling rooms. Was lovely and peaceful when we were there but obviously sometimes there are weddings and functions. Staff were friendly & helpful. Exactly what we needed for a relaxing night away from the kids. Really enjoyed our stay and lovely breakfast. Even had a couple of complimentary drinks at the bar with vouchers from the room. Thank You for a lovely stay - will definitely be back.

Amazing time staff and food and facilities were amazing

Nice hotel. Lovely location. Needs a few tweaks. Air con during the heatwave was just not working and made for an uncomfortable night. Little things missing like toilet roll holder missing make it all a bit meh in places

A nice hotel for an overnight stay after landing at Heathrow, only 20mins from the airport. The rooms we had appear to have been recently renovated and were very comfortable. The shower was particularly good. The breakfast was good with plenty to choose from and the breakfast staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The room was clean and the staff polite and helpful. The breakfast was buffet style with good quality food. There was a good selection too. Over £17 each, so it wasn't cheap. The main bar was expensive but had a good selection of drinks. The basin in our room didn't drain properly. The room itself was adequate, certainly not special. We used the hotel for a club annual celebration. There was a gala evening dinner. The dinner was three courses. The food presented was average at best. The coffee was disgusting. The service was painfully slow, over an hour and a half before the main course was served. The charge was £75 each!

Good breakfast, comfortable bed, nice spacious room. Good parking and lovely grounds (could do with some tidying up and better maintenance in parts, as looked like it has seen better days).

Stayed two nights. Would have thought we’d have got a nicer room. Absolutely no view from either window. Good AC though and nice size bathroom. Basic TV only terrestrial programmes. At that price expect better viewing programme. Grounds looking tired. Could be a lovely seating area opposite the lake but simply not used. Little opportunity for shade in open seating area - just one parasol available.

Hotel was nice. Staff in restaurant at dinner & breakfast we found were very nice but quite disorganised Bathroom could do with handrails to hang hand towels by the sink.

We had a standard room which was clean and well equipped with good air conditioning - which was needed. The only small downside was that no one came to ask what we wanted to drink with our breakfast so we had to approach one of the staff. Very good buffet lunch.

Lovely hotel, great breakfast. Room was airy and well presented. Good local pub in walking distance. Only disappointment was the patio area which had limited seat cushions and was poorly maintained, however this did not spoil our visit and we would recommend a stay at this hotel.

It was so pretty and comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

Great meal in the restaurant. Nice set-up to watch the World Cup games also.

Just very annoyed. Room was not as good as last time in same category. No lift this time. Air-conditioning was not working even after complaining, no free drink offer despite Expedia vip. Really really upset and annoyed.

We found the staff very robotic, seemed unfriendly & unhappy. It was.

This was my 8th stay at this hotel. The staff always go he extra mile and the hotel is in a great location.
