This hotel is wonderful! Fantastic views, we had a lovely specious room with a balcony. Lovely outside terrace with spectacular views across the mountains. The food was very good but a little limited in options. The staff endeavoured to help us with our food requests, with a little help from google translate!

Beautiful architecture in a convenient location for the ferry. Bilbao not far in a car. Nothing though within walking distance or by use of public transport. Very good breakfast choices. Dinner very limited choices and service slow. Nothing in room fridge or hotel to purchase on a very hot evening other than restaurant. Seemed to prioritise golf club. Small indoor pool only. Always busy. Three outside loungers only for the entire hotel. Nice but a rather restrictive.

Beautiful area and sights. First class facility

It’s a lovely property that met all of our needs. The room was nicely appointed, the food was delicious (dinner and breakfast).

Beautiful hotel in the hills northeast of Bilbao. Easy to find, and as convenient as can be expected to drive in and out of the city for a few days. Unlike many places in Spain, good reliable air conditioning. Note that the “Family” room is just one room, so no privacy for anyone sleeping in either of the two beds. Hotel restaurant was good, not great, but good value.

When we first arrived the reception was welcoming the pool was lovely and relaxing. The food was delicious and the wine very nice. The room was fabulous with spectacular views. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. If we are over that way again I know where I will be staying. I highly recommend it

Although it was not why we chose the hotel it is an excellent base for coming to or leaving Bilbao. Very handy for the airport without in any way feeling like an”airport hotel”. Nice indoor pool and classy pitch and putt attached

Le « palacio » est loin d’être à la hauteur de son nom. Le personnel était peu souriant et peu avenant. Les demandes faites lors de la réservation (ex: deux lits) ne sont pas respectées. Nous étions deux voyageurs et nous avions une pauvre petite serviette…. Bref, notre arrivée ne s’est pas super bien passé et nous avons été déçus. La nourriture du restaurant est extrêmement dispendieuse et décevante. Une entrée de « cannelloni » (qui ne sont même pas des cannellonis en passant mais des espèces de rouleaux à la courge fourrés d’une espèces de purée accompagnés d’UNE petite carotte.) a 17€ servi par un air bête. Nous voyageons beaucoup et nous savions bien qu’au prix que charge l’hôtel pour une chambre, que n’étions pas pour être dans un « palacio », mais tout de même…. Extrêmement déçu.

Wonderful place, nice area, good restaurant and helpful staff

Having stayed here on two previous occasions, the location remains stunning and the cost reasonable depending on the season but overall the standards seem slightly reduced. The basic rooms are pretty basic (!) and if you’re looking for a hearty breakfast ahead of a long journey, the offering is meagre to say the least. The Bistro and the main restaurant offer pretty much the same menu and some items are excellent value whilst others seems overpriced. However the quality is fine. Beware a bread roll will cost you €1.50 but a glass of very decent wine can be as little as €2.40!

Wonderful, huge room. Great staff and excellent service. There is a young English gentleman (John?) working in the bar who was super. I have recommended this establishment to friends.

The pool was a wonderful addition to this quaint place in the country, though still very close and convenient to the airport. The breakfast area is a beautiful glassed in setting looking into the countryside.

Beautiful building in an amazing location witth really easy access to Bilbao city centre

I chose this place because it is 25 min from Port Bilbao and its out in the country with plenty of parking but when you get there you discover this fabulous monument of a building. I asked about its history at reception and they informed me that the building was sited 15km away and a motorway was going to go straight through it so the owner dismantled the whole place 20 years ago and rebuilt it on its present site, its just incredible and there are photos to prove it in the restaurant. I have stayed here twice .

El personal fue extremadamente servicial y amable. No pude encontrar la manera de hacer retroceder mi coche de alquiler. ¡El personal se apresuró a venir a mi rescate! La habitación era preciosa así como la vista desde mi balcón! Sin duda lo recomendaría! ¡Gracias!

Comfortable hotel with huge bedroom and bathroom. Very peaceful bearing how close it is to the airport. SHame we only had one night
