Good position near bus station to airport.

Hostel and room was clean and tidy. The room was unbearable hot and there was no air con. The hostel also backs into a railway and police station so the room was very noisy.

Great place! Plenty of common areas to get work done or strike up conversation. Very clean, and every staff member I talked to was kind and helpful!

It was great stay I'm vegan very less breakfast options but other than that all okay it was too hot in this time of year ( July) and only a few people got usb fans for their pods they ran out of stock but in this price point I believe the best available thing in Dublin city centre handy from all places

Overall, a really nice hostel. Located in a great area, clean and basically all you need while in Dublin. However, if you’re not someone who does well with heat, I’d recommend looking for a different place. There is no ac in the room and the pods get extremely hot. At most they only have half a window open, at least that’s how it was in my room, hence poor air circulation. They do have small fans they provide guests but unfortunately they were all taken by the time I got there so it’s not a guarantee for everyone.

Be advised that the rooms are very hot this time of year, with little ventilation. The overall cleanliness as well wasn’t great, the bedding was stained and pods a bit worn.

The pictures online were deceiving and I didn’t see a notice that there was no AC in the rooms. We could not stay there as it was sooo hot!!! Had to leave and find a hotel down the street. The staff was friendly so nothing against them, we just couldn’t and didn’t stay so a waste of money. Had to pay additional to the hotel around the corner which was great.

The room was ridiculously warm (outside temp was only 17 degrees). The staff knew it was a problem, and no one in the rooms could sleep, yet the staff did nothing. My advice would be to only visit during winter so you don't burn alive in the pods in summer.

The location is great, as the bus station is right at the corner, several bus stops nearby, and walkable distances to restaurants, grocery stores, and busy areas. The staff are all very helpful and polite. The pod in the female dormitory is at the right size; I really appreciate there are a handle, a hook, a small side panel, and a small, portable desk-size fan. They are sufficient for hostel stays. The bathroom inside the dorm is very clean; the shower room is also clean. Many thanks to the cleaning staff and to my roommates who helped and respected the environment.

Clean room except for the bed corners. Overall polite and helpful staff except for the young blond hair lady who doesn’t seem to want to be there.

Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy my stay at Jacob’s Inn, I arrive on the Friday quite late on and the staff were super nice, made my way to the room and it was like a furnace, the room was boiling hot and the pod itself had zero air flow and I spent all night sweating sooooo bad that my covers were drenched and I literally got no sleep, there as the smallest fan in the far corner of the 10 man room which had absolutely zero effect and the one window that did open only opened about 2/3inches. I do appreciate that there was a heat wave but it made my stay pretty unbearable as it was the the same for all 3 nights I stayed. I’ve pretty much had no sleep at all the full weekend I was there. The facilities were pretty tired to be honest, everything worked and did the job but it was tired. Bar was really good and lovely and the staff again were super nice. Everything was clean and I seen a cleaner every night I was there.

Wonderful hotel, beautiful shared spaces and restaurant. Nice organized activities BUT the sleeping quarters… the sleeping « coffins » were sooooooo hot. We could only crack a small window, there was no air circulation in the room and it was really suffocating, and not all beds had a little fans. There was only one bathroom for 10 beds and the shower was overflowing. The bathroom was always dirty with water on the floor. There was another cents bathroom on our floor but not for us ladies. Also, the trash can in our room was full for 2 days and no one came to change it. On the bright side, there were two lockers per bed with codes wich was really convenient and easy to use. If it was not for the heat in the room and the lack of showers/area to get prepared, I would choose this hostel in a heart beat.

Great place! Just make sure you don’t mind a mixed gendered room if you have a preference. Also, no air conditioning so if you’re American bring a fan or get one at check-in.

Clean and safe environment; don’t expect the four seasons and book here with peace of mind.

Breakfast was very poor... rubbery eggs. Did not enjoy it.. coffee good. Poor selection of cold meats. Did not like the tin plates..sone were rusty on the side. Thought there might be an irish option for breakfast.
