The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was too small, especially the shower… I couldn’t move without hitting the walls. The safe fitting edges were sharp and I hit my head to it a couple of times. The room was tiny itself as well. The location was good and near the port and bus station.

The check in process was easy, lots of restaurants within walking distance and very friendly reception that spoke English. Definitely recommend if you are transporting via ferry, as it is within walking distance.

Some people at the front desk is fine but some is quite rude. Breakfast is too simple. I was not told that the bottle water in the refrigerator is 1 euro each until check-out. I did not receive any VIP benefit.

Great spot to catch the ferry - only a short walk

It was fine because it is across from the port but it’s a very basic and not particularly clean hotel. It works for short stays when catching a ferry.

Clean room and close to center.

I chose this property due to its proximity to the ferry terminal and only stayed one night. It was about a 15 minute walk from the ferry to the property, and check-in was easy. Breakfast options were plentiful and I especially appreciated the cappuccino machine and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Our room overlooked the harbor with a view of the fort. The hotel is no-frills but clean and has everything you need!

Affordable and convenient hotel in walking distance from the ferry port. The breakfast views were stunning! I was easily able to explore Heraklion at night, then enjoyed a nice breakfast and walked over to my ferry first thing in the morning.

Had a great time staying at the Marin hotel. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, breakfast was great and hotel room was clean and nice. Great location in Heraklion also.

Close to port, excellent. But noisy for a ocean view room as right on the street AND airport where planes were taking off. Also close to the pedestrian street with tons of restaurants.

Perfect location to city centre and ferry port, carparking close by, friendly staff. We got a seaview room, it's worth it.

Fine for a quick stop to be walking distance to the centre but felt dirty, minimal amenities in the bathroom, had to walk up 5 flights because elevator wasn’t working. For the price I expected better.

The main lobby person was rude and was trying to upsell. He made comments about Americans being able to afford more ..

Great location that’s close to everything and the staff were very nice and helpful. The view was awesome.
