We stayed at the Barceló for my wife’s birthday weekend and had a fantastic stay. This is a large hotel located about a 20-minute walk from the centre of Granada. It has easy access and a large underground car park, costing €18 per night. Our room was very clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed, kettle, and fridge. The bathroom was perfectly adequate, although the quite powerful shower is positioned over the bath with only a small shower screen, making it easy to unintentionally soak the bathroom floor. Breakfast was excellent, with an impressive range of choices. We particularly liked being seated rather than having to search for a table ourselves. We visited the hotel’s rice restaurant one evening and the paella was delicious. We also had a lunchtime snack in the lobby bar, which was both good value and very tasty. The spa was pleasant, although the variety of spa showers felt a little unusual and, in truth, not especially appealing. We had a couples massage which was excellent and very enjoyable. My only criticism was that robes were not provided to walk through the communal area to the massage room. Our only real disappointment was the gym and swimming pool. Both appear much larger and more spacious in the cleverly taken photographs. While the terrace around the pool is very pleasant, with a small bar and fantastic views, the pool itself is tiny. We also found the gym rather claustrophobic, with a limited range of equipment and weights only going up to 10 kg

Our first night at the hotel had AC problems, and had trouble sleeping. Next day, the maintenance staff fixed the issue and the problem was resolved. Staff were friendly. Close to old town, in fact we walked back to the hotel from our Alhambra visit by taking the scenic route through the city center.

Booked this hotel for convenient parking because we were a family on a road trip with rental car. The other hotels I was interested in were not car parking friendly. This hotel had underground parking and very accessible and easy to maneuver. All day parking was reasonably priced too and allows for unlimited access in and out. Standard room very clean. I was happy about this hotel for the price. Cost effective.

The bathroom are terrible and totally outdated. The showers must be 30-40 years old and dangerous with high risk of falling. Carpets in the hallway are stained, the property is in poor condition. Staff are really nice but would avoid staying here … stayed here in march 2026

Room was clean and a good size.

This is a nice hotel around a 15-20 minute walk to the cathedral and main central area. The room was bright with a modern bathroom, comfortable bed, and good quality linen and towels. We had a fridge and a kettle which was great. Everywhere was clean. There was a good range of foods at breakfast including cooked food, cheese & meats, pastries, fresh fruit & yogurt and ingredients for tostadas. The gym is small but has good quality equipment and is in good condition. The rooftop area is nice, with an awesome view of the mountains & city. The outdoor pool is small. We did not use the indoor pool area as this was €22 for 1hr. Both pools are more for lounging than doing swimming exercises. The staff we met were friendly, especially the two young men running the bar and bar food service- professional but engaging & very hard working. The main bypass runs close by so if you want to have the window open, you may need earplugs. We would stay here again.

Clean room, friendly and helpful staff

I had a great stay at this hotel. The facilities are excellent, and both the room and the bathroom were very spacious. I especially appreciated that the bathroom and bedroom are completely separate, which adds extra comfort and privacy. Everything was spotless, very clean, and well organized. The location is fantastic — it’s within very easy walking distance to Gran Vía, which made getting around the city extremely convenient. The only minor issue I experienced was that the air conditioning stopped working at one point. However, I reported it to the front desk and the staff was incredibly kind and professional. They handled the situation immediately and resolved it right away. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would definitely stay here again.
