The hotel room was beautiful and immaculately maintained. The hotel staff was beyond attentive and hospitable. We were greeted in the parking lot by two staff members that proceeded to help with our luggage. We were then served tea upon our entrance. Their BROS restaurant was superb! Excellent service and a great meal! Even their "resident" cat, which we endearingly nicknamed Puccia (for the Puglian bread) Martina (for the town) was so so friendly. His name during our stay was Puccia Martina. The grounds were so private and peaceful. In a great location close to town. We used this as our home base and drove to places like Locotorondo, Alberobello, Ostuni, and several beautiful beaches. Would not think twice to stay there again.

The gardens and pool area were lovely as was the Villa. The staff were very helpful with a special mention for Maria. The breakfasts were disappointing- definitely not 5*.

From the moment we walked in the door Alessandro and staff made us feel wonderfully welcome. Romano was there with a welcome drink, Federica with a hand massage…fantastico. The property was absolutely stunning and well maintained. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite and the daily breakfast was rich with both international hot options and local classics-served in a beautiful dining room leading out to the gardens-by a friendly and efficient staff member. We didn’t get her name unfortunately. The two front desk staff were also very helpful. The pictures and description of this Villa do not do the place justice. Highly recommended.

The stuff where amazing , always helpful and friendly. Anything you ask they respond with no issues. We loved the breakfast and how authentic is the hotel it self. Room are very spacious and clean. But mostly we loved the location , so quite and the gardens around the hotels are so beautiful

Nice hotel

The pros; the reception staff were friendly and welcoming, eager to be helpful. The room was small but clean, quiet and comfortable. The restaurant was very good. The grounds are beautiful. Parking easy and free. The cons; the hotel is tired and although claims to be 5*, but having stayed in many - I can see the differences. Twice we waited too long for drinks (€15 a spritz is certainly 5* pricing), needing to repeat our order to eventually get them - despite the hotel not being busy. Breakfast wasn't great - fresh fruit was very small slices (eg 1-2 strawberries sliced) all on a small plate which quickly ran out. We also waited far too long for coffees and the hot omelette - which arrived as we were leaving (only 3 other tables occupied on that day). Just not 5* service. The final negative was the €50 per person per use of the onsite "spa", a lukewarm jacuzzi, 2 saunas and a steam room. Having been told this was included when we asked, we were very surprised to be charged and had to negotiate the removal of the charge, which to their credit was done under the circumstances. However it made an uncomfortable end to an already under-par stay. The cost should be made clear, there was plenty of opportunity to explain the cost to us both at the main reception and at the spa reception. There was also nothing about it in the room information, which I always read thoroughly. We spent 10 days in Puglia, there are better places to stay for less cost.

Extremely beautiful and tranquil atmosphere - extremely comfortable bed and bedding. Good restaurant - but might be more visible on the website - especially that it is closed on Sundays.

Amazing breakfast options and very friendly staff.

Vi var to familier afsted og havde en helt fantastisk oplevelse på Relais Villa San Martino. Det hele er måske ikke topmoderne, men det er præcis en del af charmen – stedet giver sig ikke ud for at være noget, det ikke er. Til gengæld føltes alt utroligt privat, både ved poolen, til morgenbuffeten og i fællesområderne generelt. Personalet var utroligt søde og hjælpsomme og guidede os gerne, når det gjaldt bookinger og andre praktiske ting. Vi oplevede et par mindre skønhedsfejl: rengøringen var måske en anelse sparsom, der var lidt myrer på værelset, og spabadet på værelset havde set bedre dage. Derudover var “boden” ved poolen lukket under hele vores ophold, hvilket undrede os lidt – til gengæld blev der serveret ved poolen alligevel. Men intet af det trak nævneværdigt ned i den samlede oplevelse. Stedet er så fantastisk, privat og nede på jorden, at det for os stadig fortjener topkarakter. 5 stjerner for den skønne beliggenhed, følelsen af privatliv og for, at man virkelig kom ned i tempo.

Dont get distracted by the pictures. They are staged. The house from the outside is nice But… the classic room is just like a time ride in the Middle Ages. Pool beds are almost broken, wheel lose, pillows ripped off. Wonder if there is shower curtains still in hotel - yes you will find them here. The walls need to be painted, lot of scratches. 4 stars - I don’t know. Better choose a Masseria. At the pool the bar always is abandoned. The cleaning hose just thrown in a corner. Not very attractive. Breakfast was fine.
