Would definitely come back! The Italian garden at the property is beautiful.

I can’t say enough good things about this incredible hotel. The staff, the gardens, the food, the surrounding area… the photos hardly capture the beauty of the property. The staff is not only very professional and helpful but also incredibly friendly. We spent two days here but will stay longer next time, which will be soon.

Our recent 4 night stay at Villa di Piazzano was truly perfect in every way! Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary could not have been more enjoyed! Having booked our stay 6 mos in advance - I communicated many times via email during that time, seeking itinerary advice from the Conceirge. I always received very fast responses with creative ideas for our schedule that ended up proving most enjoyable. Cortona is a short, 10 minute drive away. Our arrival day was a dream, as we drove up the cypress lined drive which gave the feeling of arriving a royal residence! We were warmly greeted and instantly felt that our arrival was anticipated by the staff. We bonded very quickly with several of the team during our stay and experienced their excellent and warm hospitality. Our room, Luna Piena, proved to be absolutely perfect! Spotlessly clean and most roomy. We especially loved the bath area and roomy shower. Our room was accurately historical with every modern convenience. We enjoyed opening the windows each cool morning and loved listening to the birds sing. The property grounds were stunning! So much detail and care! The maintenance/gardening crew should be awarded! Amazing! We enjoyed wandering around the gardens and admiring all the flowers and plants! The swimming pool was crystal clear and the perfect temperature! Restaurant food was OUTSTANDING! I’m not sure how another resort hotel ANYWHERE in Tuscany region could top the experience we enjoyed at Villa di Piazzano!

The property itself is stunning: a beautifully preserved historic estate set in the peaceful hills near Cortona, surrounded by gardens, vineyards, and the golden light of the Tuscan countryside. But what truly set this place apart — what made it unforgettable — was the food. We were treated to an extraordinary culinary journey: over 19 exquisite courses, each one more delicious and artfully presented than the last. Every dish felt like a masterpiece — bold in flavor, flawless in technique, and crafted with the kind of passion you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The chef didn’t just cook — they told a story with each plate. The restaurant staff went above and beyond, especially the manager, who made us feel like honored guests every time we sat down to dine. Every detail — from wine pairings to plating — was perfect. It was, hands down, the best food we had in all of Europe. Villa di Piazzano is more than just a luxurious stay — it’s a destination for food lovers, a place where elegance, tranquility, and world-class cuisine come together in perfect harmony. We’ll remember this place — and the flavors — for the rest of our lives. For anyone seeking authentic Tuscan charm, gourmet excellence, and a truly special escape: this is it. Five stars. 10/10. Villa di Piazzano is amazing! we had an amazing time and the staff is incredible. peaceful, enjoyable and the food amazing!

The Villa di Piazzano is stunning down to the smallest detail. The staff is attentive, pleasant and helpful. The food and wine at the onsite restaurant was some of the best we had on our 23-day trip across Italy. One of our favorite stays for sure!

It was a very disappointing stay There property is far out of the way and they were unable to offer only a very late dinner service They were unable to offer any spa services The room was very warm as there was no A/C We definitely would not return to this property

Stunning romantic hotel in a beautiful setting. Lovely rooms, gardens, and pool. The food was lovely and the staff amazing. My only complaint was an added charge for any a la carte items in the breakfast which is included in the hotel charge. For the type and cost of the hotel, this should be included.

We stayed at Villa di Piazzano as part of our honeymoon and highly recommend it to future guests. The hotel is the epitome of a luxurious, boutique hotel and is easily a 5-star experience. Our suite was spacious and clean with ample bathroom and leisure space. The courtyard outside of our room was very nice. The pool and restaurant were top notch, and the staff were incredibly helpful and personable. My wife and I also enjoyed jogging through the picturesque countryside together in the morning. If you are looking for a relaxing and luxurious place to relax in Tuscany - this is the place!

This Villa is a little slice of heaven! It is elegant, peaceful and close to so many beautiful Italian hill towns. The menu offers something delicious for everyone. Excellent staff, too!

We absolutely loved this hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer. Attention to detail was excellent. A car is a must unless you don’t want to leave property.

Simply marvellous hotel near Cortona. Been twice now and it is a delightful stop in Tuscany.

This place is rehabilitation for the soul. We felt like we were dropped into a magnificent work of art. The grounds are meticulously cared for and the views are breathtaking. The staff work together seamlessly and care for your every need. The on property restaurant prepared our favorite meals of our tour of Italia. Next time we are coming with additional guests so we can share the experience.

This is an exceptional hotel. Beautiful location, sublime pool, sumptuous rooms, wonderful restaurant. There is no way you can go wrong at this spot. 5 stars all day long.

This hotel was lovely. The property was beyond tranquil. The food was amazing. We loved it. You should have a car to get around because taxis are not readily available. The hotel staff goes above and beyond to help with arrangements.
