We use this place as a base for visiting family. Ideal location just off M42 near Twycross Zoo

We stayed as a couple for the weekend 24th to 26th July. The hotel was well maintained and welcoming. Staff couldn't do enough to help, from reception, to bar staff and room cleaning. Everyone seemed to be working to the same ethos. The room was lovely, shower was powerful and bed comfy. The big let down was that done of the rooms are air conditioned, but the public areas are. We did have a fan, but it was noisy, didn't really cool us down so we had a couple of uncomfortable nights. This was probably the coolest weekend for weeks so I wouldn't have liked to stay during the heatwave.

The room was clean the staff were helpful and the wife loves it so we will definitely be going back

The signage off the road was bad but once found the Hotel was excellent in every way, the rooms were clean and spacious and easily to find. Being a disabled person I found the parking close by the front door and clearly marked. The breakfast menu gave you a choice of Full English or European styles and as I chose a full English it was cooked to order and was hot. The staff in all areas were helpful in every way and went out of their way to make my stay problem free.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. The hotel is very basic, no fridges or air-conditioning and it was very stuffy in the room. Food was basic at best.

First of all, the staff were fantastic and very helpful. Food was also very nice and fairly priced. Parking was good and handy for travelling to Donington Park. We did have to move rooms because it sounded like someone was stomping and crashing about in the room above, with squeaky floorboards. However the second room was the other side of the premises and in earshot of a very noisy kennels nearby; dogs barking and howling literally all night. Closing the window, despite the heat, made absolutely no difference - I sleep with ear plugs and could still hear them. No air con and the fan just moved hot air. The shower temperature was temperamental

Great hotel. Modern. Clean and very efficient. I just wonder why every time we book a room through Expedia. We end up at the back of the hotel in the last rooms with a mile walk and dated rooms

As a solo traveller for work I have stayed at this hotel a few times as there and many travelling for work and the environment is safe and friendly. The staff are always welcoming and explain about the hotel and restaurant times etc… Rooms have always been clean and comfortable. No air conditioning which is a shame as in this warmer weather the rooms are just too hot with a fan which has prompted me to stay elsewhere while the temperatures are high. The food is ok - fairly basic options which do the job for a quick bite. Would still return as a solo traveller as the overall feel and staff make this a nice choice for an overnight stay.

Plenty of parking, air conditioned reception, bar and restaurant, room fine (shower powerful), menu good, food great, prices fair. I stay in different hotels every week, but I’d give this one a return visit.

A great budget hotel, staff are amazing and the rooms comfortable, decor is not great but the food is decent, it is in the middle of nowhere but good value for money The staff make this place really helpful, I've stayed here quite a few times and its definitely better than my last stay a year ago
