We hosted our wedding reception at Durrants Hotel and stayed for several days afterwards, and honestly, I can’t fault a single thing about the experience. The service was outstanding from start to finish — every member of staff we dealt with was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. The chef’s food was exceptional; I’d recommend him without hesitation. We were also lucky enough to have a beautiful room that stayed perfectly cool throughout, even during the London heatwave. Dylan at the bar was also fantastic - he made the evening drinks even better!

Wonderful hotel, where we hosted our wedding guests for a long weekend. Very charming, traditional, cosy decor that is beautifully presented, with gorgeous lounges to relax in. The restaurant at the hotel is super nice, and dinner was very delicious and well presented. Location is excellent, and the staff always very friendly and welcoming. All in all, fabulous place to stay in Central London! Highly recommend :)

Stayed here for the first time for a night on 11th September after a family event and Art opening. A truly delightful place to stay - traditional, clubbable, elegant and also modern in its charming and efficient service. My room was comfortable and quiet and the simplest shower to operate ever. A late night supper was snappily served and breakfast was perfect in quality although the toast could be better. I look forward to returning.

Just reviewing the bar rooms, not the hotel. Mixed feelings - a friend sold his house in hampstead so he stays here often (granted he does NOT rave about the rooms), and we meet up often at the bar over the last year. The fires are great (I come just for that), but it is always fairly awkward, very quiet because the music is down too low, so you’re always forced to listen to sloppy people chowing down on crisps, which sounds like bones breaking, having annoying conversations loudly (always about places I’ve been and the other party to the conversation hasn’t), if they just turned up the music a bit, it would make for a much better and less painfully awkward ambience. I imagine more locals would want to come in for drinks and not just hotel guests. Also, the bar staff is usually not too knowledgeable and will be very uncomfortable (basically just standing and watching you in a silent room - aside from the bone breaking noises of crisp crunching by the few other patrons in the silent room, of course).

Unfortunately, the quality of the service is no longer as good as it used to be. It's also a bit disappointing that there is music in the restaurant, especially when it doesn’t really suit the atmosphere. If background music is needed, classical might be a better choice as it would match the setting and is rarely unpleasant for guests. That said, the setting itself remains as refined and elegant as ever.
