Beautiful location on a lake. Relaxing place to stay. Buffet breakfast was varied and tasty. Only thing that was unusual to me as I'm not from Finland, is that the indoor pool and Sauna is only available in the morning till around 10am, and sometimes in the evening. I believe this is just a cultural difference. Staff were exceptional.

A relaxing stay close to the city, yet in nature. Very good restaurant and breakfast.

It is in a great location on an island next to sea and motorway. There are also walking and cycling paths to different directions. The place is clean but not cheap.

beautiful retreat by the sea

This hotel is in the most beautiful location directly on the sea and it offered us a peaceful and relaxing stay. We felt very much at home and wished we could have stayed longer. Rooms are fairly standard but the view of the sea more than makes up for any lack of luxuries. The hotel and grounds are full of original artworks which makes this hotel quite unique. The views are stunning and the restaurant was excellent with outdoor seating to enjoy the natural setting for breakfast, coffee, drinks or dinner. Though the choice was somewhat limited, especially for vegetarians, the quality of the food was superb. Breakfast was plentiful and had a great variety of fresh and delicious choices. We will long remember our stay at this wonderful hotel and hope to come back one day.

We enjoyed our one night stay at Hotel Hanasaari very much. It is a 15 minute scenic walk from the Kouvusaari Metro (once on the Metro, it is only a 10 minute ride to the main Helsinki Railway station). The room had a very comfortable bed, tea and coffee service, picture window with gorgeous water view, and a nice bathtub. Breakfast was very satisfying with good variety. Pool and sauna were also enjoyable. The highlight of this idyllic oasis would be the lovely paths for walking, running and biking (free bike usage from the hotel!). We would be just delighted to return to Hotel Hanasaari (Hanaholmen in Swedish).

Beautiful quiet setting

Every part of my stay at Hotel Hanasaari met or exceeded expectations. The location and views were amazing. The food and service at PLATS restaurant were exceptional as well. I would for sure stay at Hotel Hanasaari again!

What a gem! I've found my new favourite place to stay in Helsinki. The location is beautiful, on a small peninsula full of forest and nature, while only a 10min bus/bike/car journey from the city centre. The building is an architectural and design masterpiece from the 1970s, with art spread throughout the areas of the hotel. The rooms have been recently renovated masterfully to respect the character and era of the building. Sea views from EVERY room! Staff are friendly without being overbearing. Breakfast is great with focus on sustainable, local foods including healthy options, with a high quality across the board. The sauna, which is on every morning, and pool area are fantastic - I enjoyed them all by myself a couple of times. Again, the spaces are architecturally amazing and just a pleasure to be in. I just loved it here - I will be back!!!

It took about 20 min by foot to the hotel from a nearest metro station, but it worth it! It's very comfortable, quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay there again.

A most impressive hotel in a beautiful location.

Many art works by local artists were displayed inside the building as well as the garden area. I enjoyed them very much. We had meals sitting in the garden, overlooking the beautiful scenery and scalptures.

Friendly and helpful staff, a beautiful setting, free bikes to tour the cycle ways along the coast. Comfortable and spacious room, lots of relaxation areas and great views.
