Nice stay close to British Museum and Tottenham Court Road tube stop (can take Elizabeth line to and from Heathrow to the hotel). Staff was friendly and helpful. Older but clean hotel. No elevator- our room was on 3rd floor, so consider how much luggage you will have to carry up stairs. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Walking distance to many museums and theatres

Lovely room and staff superb around the hotel. Left my luggage at the hotel while I visited the shops so very understanding of my hernia and discomfort it comes with.

I felt welcome at check-in and found the staff polite and friendly. The room was satisfactory and tidy and I felt secure.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at The Staunton Hotel. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was spotless as was the whole of the hotel and breakfast was amazing. I stayed there with my sister and we would both stay there again and recommend it to others.

Upon registration found the staff to be quite rude and the bed to be uncomfortable. The location is terrific, breakfast and staff were very good.

Reception staff was helpful and friendly, both prior to and during our stay. Bed was comfy with high quality sheets. Bath was small but adequate. Breakfast was wonderful! Fresh fruit, juices cereals plus full cooked breakfast if desired. Easy walk to Goode street tube and British Museum. 200+ year old Georgian home with classic elements that have been lovingly restored by the family owners. If you are looking for a sleek, modern hotel with big rooms this one is not for you!

I loved the idea of staying in a more local hotel and not a chain and I'm so glad I did. This old building has been renovated into a darling hotel and I absolutely loved it. Even the terrifying circular staircase which is hard to carry suitcases up and down, I would do again for the chance to stay at the Staunton. The service was excellent and the breakfast was amazing! I loved everything about it. I took off one star for condition because it's an old building and some of the furniture in the rooms is showing some wear and tear, but mostly it added to the charm. Every member of the staff was wonderful as well! If you have the chance, stay there!

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. For the amount we paid I was not expecting so much. I thought it would a no frills place to rest for the night. However, from start to finish it was wonderful. Very friendly welcome, efficient check in, comfortable and well equipped room. Great shower… amazing location. The breakfast was outstanding. A really great experience all round. We will return.

Ideal location for us and a well presented little hotel. Room was fine although the bed pillows were not comfortable. Otherwise very clean and tidy toom. Breakfast was perfect too. I'd certainly recommend this hotel

Comfortable hotel in a good location. Good breakfast. Polite staff and helpful. Room was cold and took a few hours to warm. Bathroom stayed very cold despite a small electric heater. Still recommend it for its great location.

Nicely compact. Unfortunately it seemed the room heater didn't work and the room was cold during the night. Staff are kind and friendly. Very convenient location bear the British Messiu.
