Comfy bed great view

Was nice to stay across from the bay, to walk outside and see the ocean! Quaint and the staff were friendly and helpful.

On arrival val the receptionist ( female, 30’s, brown skin) was rude and argumentative. She told us street parking was free, when it was not! The room she allocated us was freezing cold as the window was broken in the open position and it was minus 3 outside. The window had been broken for some time as the broken frame had been painted over. The bathroom was freezing with a cold fan that couldn’t be turned off, the electric towel rail did not work and produced no heat. The room was next to a hallway door on one side that kept banging and a noisy lift on the other side. It was horrific. There was no parking at the front of the hotel as the 5 parking spaces had gone - the limited parking is not mentioned by the hotel.

Staff & cleanliness of hotel was good. The reason the stay did not live up to our expectations was it was cold & our food service was really bad. Starter of haggis bon bons had to be sent back to kitchen due to undercooked the haggis was cold & still frozen solid inside. On return it was freshly made apparently but it was still inedible due to being cold & frozen inside. Breakfast they forgot to add sausage to our breakfast plate and the beans were cold on telling staff of our beans being cold they took away & brought new portion which was also cold do unable to eat. Please address the kitchen situation as we will not be returning unfortunately due to this which is sad.

The room was very nice and was spotless.The staff were all very pleasant and friendly. We stayed here a few years ago and would definitely come back.

Fantastic hotel in a prime position at a very reasonable price, the staff could not do enough for us, well worth a visit.

Couldn’t get cold water…lights in room very bright..coukd do with a lamp….very noisy…could hear next rooms conversation etc

Lovely hotel, a bit outdated, but very comfortable. In fact, the mattress was so comfortable that I called the hotel to find out what brand it was.

Other than an initial poor check in experience, our stay improved greatly. The other front staff workers were very helpful and pleasant. The location is excellent and the room was very clean. I would recommend this hotel for a beautiful stay in Oban.

Mixed review re cleaning. Some areas were quite clean, other areas not so much. Shower pan was plugged, water overflowed to the floor like a waterfall, not an exaggeration. Staff weren’t concerned.

Newly renovated rooms are nice, tough small but the views are stunning. Convenient location for earing and walking the waterfront. Not much parking but we lucked out. Nice place
