Modern clean room, comfortable bed with nice quality pillows and sheets. Fantastic breakfast, one of the best breakfasts I’ve had-lots of different options. Staff friendly and helpful answering questions and transportation and getting me extra pillows and hangers. Centrally located.

This is a large, traditional hotel in the center of the city, within easy walking distance of the railroad station and the cathedral. The Småland museum and House of Emigrants are also within walking distance. The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel was two restaurants, one is Japanese and the other, the Bishops Arms, is more like an English pub. It was very crowded and noisy, when we went there for dinner, and the order-at-the-bar service was not the best. (There are many other restaurants nearby). A disadvantage was that the hotel was under renovation, so the reception area was on a second level and there was a lack of public lounging spaces. Parking is convenient in an immediately adjacent surface lot, but it is a municipal lot in which payment is required between 9 am and 6 pm.

Very enjoyable. Excellent front desk staff.

We only stayed overnight. It was a lovely room with plenty of space. We were above the bar but it wasn’t noisy. The beds were comfy and the bathroom massive, with double shower and double sink. Breakfast was an excellent selection. If you are there to parkrun, approx 10 min walk to the start, and we agreed a check out of 12 (though we were done by 11:15) so we could shower before travelling. Would definitely stay again if I were in the area.

Nice place to stay

We had a most amazing time at Elite Stadshotellet . The staff were all very kind and welcoming, the food was excellent and the hotel itself is tastefully decorated and well looked after. We'll definitely be back.

If you don’t mind kids running the halls then this is the place for you! Had my door knocked on in the middle night. Do not stay in a regular room, as they are tiny!
