The rooms were very clean and comfortable. All of the staff were kind and helpful. The location was decent with just a short bus ride into the heart of Haarlem. Would definitely stay here again.

We didn’t get off to a good start as we were given a key to someone else’s room. Upon opening the door the room was full of someone else’s belongings. It’s not a nice feeling as it’s a real intrusion into someone’s privacy.

Breakfast was good. Dover sole for dinner was overcooked. Chef needs to learn how to cook fish

Beautiful hotel, very clean, great staff and good value

This is our favorite place to stay when visiting Haarlem or Amsterdam! The hotel itself is just as nice, if not nicer, as the high end hotels in Amsterdam with a little more space and amenities. We love the spa room and the restaurant, and the coffee lounge/bar, as everything is top notch. The only request would be to have non-dairy milk in the coffee lounge machine, as my husband cannot consume dairy.

This is a fantastic hotel overall. The location is excellent for travelers: a convenient bus route connects directly to the airport and the Haarlem train station, which offers effortless, tap-and-go public transport access to Amsterdam Central. No tickets needed, it couldn't be easier! The hotel itself is modern, immaculately clean, and highly presentable. My only slight disappointment, and the reason for the four-star rating instead of five, was the room setup. We booked a double, but received a twin with the beds just pushed together. The resulting gap made it feel like a twin room anyway, which defeated the purpose. Despite the bed issue, the stay was great. The restaurant food and drinks were excellent, and the facilities were superb. I especially appreciated the business area, which was stocked with on-tap hot and cold drinks, fruit, and snacks. The Wi-Fi was fast and very easy to connect to. I would happily stay here again.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Van de Valk hotel. Well situated just out side of the centre. Lots of easy parking. Rooms were on the big side giving you lots of room.Tea and coffee facilities were separate on level 3 in a beautiful lounge and always available 247!! The breakfasts were amazing… quality/ choice and extremely good value for money. Rating at the time was 8.9 on hotels but should be… in my opinion at least 9.6!! Highly recommended 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Fabulous room for our family in a fabulous property. The property was very recently renovated and was on par with very high end Marriott and Hilton resorts. We loved being in Haarlem. The gym and spa were excellent. We stayed in a two bedroom with our kids in bunk beds in the attached room. It was so clean and so safe. Bathroom and shower were huge. Great jumping off point for all of the Netherlands. Staff was exceptional.
