Great place - lovely staff but “very” dog friendly - so not ideal if you struggle to tolerate canines (though they are at least banned from the restaurant) top floor rooms quite hot, but nice friendly decent quality hotel

Carpet dirty , skirting bourds poor , shower could do with advice to use , no fan or air conditioning room was next to door to pool constant banging doors by children , step from door to patio loose (dangerous ) my partner is 80 could have had injury , not nice sat in room watch dogs toilet in front of you and the abuse off owners if you mentioned it , we got fan but it was so noisy we could not sleep with it on , needs upgrade very dated

Lovely staff, clean room and the concierge ironed a shirt for me for a wedding as I am completely useless. Really appreciate it! Would stay again and a great price for the area and time of year.

Nice spacious rooms.

I booked 2 rooms we were allocated rooms 12/14 on 2nd floor which were OK but could do with a revamp.Room 14 had a iron but no ironing board room 12 had a ironing board but no iron so we ending up sharing. Extractor fan not working in bathroom number 12.Both rooms had a view facing the main road and the traffic was constant from 5am.Car alarm going off several times during the night did not help sleeping (I know it was not the hotels fault).Breakfast was OK tea was luke warm from dispenser. Overall our stay was OK but having spent over £550 for both rooms it could have been better.

We stayed 2 nights in the cabins at the back of the hotel , the cabins (4off) are all very private . Hot tub was fantastic, plenty of space , mini fridge lovely shower room . Breakfast of a morning was really nice . We would definitely stay again

The hotel was really clean, staff really friendly and helpful. Great location for trips to nearby lakes. Lovely breakfast.

Rooms could do with updating.Could have done without a car alarm going of several times early in the morning (I know this was not the hotels fault).Breakfast was OK nothing special if you like a buffet breakfast. We had a iron but no ironing board had to borrow from our daughters room next door she had a ironing board but no iron (Yes I've not made that up)

The welcome was what sets this place apart. Having stayed at some of the other hotels in the area that have higher star ratings they do not compare. We were so well looked after. We’ll be back!!

Really friendly, relaxing hotel. Staff are wonderful and it looks and smells really clean. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself is very dated that is also as its an old building and the character of the building is from 18th century. The room was okay and can be improved. The staff looked agitated and not very friendly. The restaurant menue is overly priced and very limited. No service except within limited lunch and dinner time with pre booking.

Lovely hotel breakfast very nice

Staff are brilliant. Breakfasts v good, dinner too. Nice garden at the back. We swam in the little pool. Bar has a nice atmosphere.

Lovely stay,very accomodating staff. Well located, beautiful views. Only negative felt parking was limited

Property a little tiered.

Jacuzzi bath in room not working which was disappointing. Hotel is tired and needs updating. Breakfast was lovely.

The hotel is comfortable but needs a bit of an upgrade. Our room had a lovely four poster bed but the shower needed an upgrade. Evening meal was disappointing.

We were stuck in an annexe , room was shabby , kettle did not work , staff did not show us the room , just pointed the way , we booked for two nights , only stayed one , felt uncomfortable.
