We arrived early and they allowed us to check in at around 10am, the room we were given was clean and tidy, staff was friendly and they speak Spanish and English, Breakfast buffet was always delicious, food items are usually the same but so long as you change it up or aren’t picky, you have plenty to choose from. We didn’t go to it but there’s also a pool on the 8th floor.

The property was in an excellent location and very centrally located. We walked to almost all tours. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very functional rooms and larger than what we expected.

This hotel was centrally located and accessible to all your needs, walking, transportation and landmarks. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The rooms were clean and although cozy it had just enough space for 2 people to manage. Beds were very comfortable. Working air conditioner if that's important to you. The rooftop is small but very well placed in shade and sun with a beautiful view! The jacuzzi may for 2 comfortably. There are convenience stores, cafes and restaurants immediately surrounding the hotel. Highly recommend!

Check in was smooth although the tax stated on receipt was less than what we actually had to pay so that needs updating. I had emailed ahead asking for a kettle which was provided. Room clean and had everything we needed, the rooms are not very good at keeping outside noise out. We could hear our neighbour just walking around, using the toilet etc. there seemed to work going on during our stay so when we wanted an afternoon nap, this was disturbed. The beds were comfy, great shower, and housekeeping were friendly! Hotel is a great location. They even kept our luggage on the last day so we could explore. Hot tub is far too hot, my partner actually burnt his feet. Pool opposite end.. freezing! Probably wouldn’t stay again due to the noise and paper thin walls, when you’re exploring you want to be able to rest!

Very helpful staff

The staff was very nice but I changed my initial room: due to a surgery i couldnt not lift my suitcase up the stairs. I was not told before that the access to the room was not possible via an elevator. The initial room was narrow and old fashioned. The skirting boards were broken and not clean. After asking to change the room, the second one was clean, bigger and a nice view.

The room was very clean and incredibly quiet. Ours was at the back of the building, and we didn't hear anything all day or night. Edu was very welcoming and helpful at check-in. I loved the rooftop pool and hot tub, though be prepared that the pool is just for length swimming and isn't heated. The hot tub technically fits 4, but really only one couple at at time could use it. I would like it to be hotter, but was still very relaxing. The location is great. Sagrada Familia is about 40 minutes walk, Palau Guëll is about 20 minutes away, and La Rambla is just around the corner.

The AC was turned to heating, so we found it too hot to sleep. We tried opening the balcony door to get some cool air in, but with the traffic noise and the smell of weed from the street, it was impossible. Also, the bed linens are terrible, as they're just an old quilt between two sheets, instead of a proper duvet with a cover. Other than that, the room is nice, but the bathroom is old. The common areas are small and resemble more of a hostel than a 4-star hotel. The elevator is also old and rickety. The whole hotel could use some refurbishment. As for the location, it was quite central, but the couple of blocks just around the hotel seemed dingy. If I were there alone without my boyfriend, I wouldn't walk there by myself. It didn't feel safe. All in all, I can't recommend this hotel, as I won't be staying there again.

The location is super good! The staff is friendly! The terrace is also nice and the jacuzzi very good! The breakfast is ok (could be better) and my room was very small with an window to inside! Thats why an overall "good" rate.

An excellent location and overall great stay at Petit Palace Eixample. The room was clean with a good daily service but there were some parts of the room that had aged (particularly in the bathroom) which gave a slightly tatty/stained appearance. But this didn’t distract from a good stay which we would repeat

Good value for money, very friendly staff and very convenient location for a tourist, especially a foodie!

Stayed here for a birthday retreat for 3 nights with my pregnant wife. Was a very difficult stay. Initial room was very nice - double bed and what I had paid for. 2nd night / the room smelled of marijuana / weed. Wife was pregnant so I asked for a change of room. Initially the hotel staff said to ‘open the room and wait a while’. I’m glad we didn’t as when I returned later that night to collect something, the whole floor smelt of weed, let alone the room! - 2nd night Got a room with two single beds (slept separately) and could hear everything downstairs as I think it was an extra room which no one stays in! Bed was absolutely horrendous, the springs made my back ache for a week. 3rd night - Was moved to another double room the day after. The hot water did not work in this room and no alternative was available. Wife and I had to go and shower in another room on a different floor and come back to sleep in this room! This is at 1AM. Absolutely ridiculous. On the last day I had probably spent about 5 hours packing and moving and speaking to people. I was promised a two night refund by Toni (the manager for both this and the other Petit Palace hotel). When hotels.com contacted them this was denied. Liars! On a side note - don’t pay for breakfast. For £15 a person there are some lovely places around. Breakfast was average at best with simple things finishing by 9-9.30am when breakfast lasts till 11am (eg beans or vegetables) with no refills because it’s ‘finished’!

Friendly staff and good area

Good location, spacious room, great breakfast, nice roof top pool. Had an issue with which meant we had to have cold showers in the evening which was disappointing but otherwise would definitely recommend .
