Everything was excellent. We could not have been treated better.

This is my third time staying at Mata Chica. It’s the best place on the island and one of the best resorts when it comes to hospitality, vibe and cleanliness. I will always return when I visit Belize.

The staff is amazing, rooms amazing, and the vibe is amazing. I would definitely return. Restaurant is very good as well, pretty much farm/ocean to table. Highly recommend Captains dinner for an authentic Belizian experience and the avacado toast at breakfast!

Perfection ! This resort and the staff was the best of any place we have ever stayed (and we travel a lot ) . We had a relaxing and vacation . We are already planning a return trip.

Clean rooms,customer service was outstanding, aroma therapy massage was relaxing. The ambiance was great giving peaceful vacation vibes.

Beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle. I love that you can book activities that are operated through the resort (we did 2 snorkel tours) keeps quality high and logistics easy. The food was delicious and the staff attentive.

The staff was welcoming and accommodating from the moment we landed and the resort had a great relaxing upscale atmosphere. My husband and I felt appreciated and not like just another rinse and repeat guest. The casitas were spacious and very clean. We would recommend this resort to our friends and would be happy to stay there again.

Impeccable service

We can't recommend Matachica highly enough - we loved everything about our stay there! Beautiful setting, top-notch service, great combination of access to adventure (e.g. snorkeling excursions, golf cart rentals to venture into town) and relaxation (pool/hot tub, hammocks, lounge chairs on the pier).

The staff were all so nice and helpful. The room was very clean and we loved the special greeting that was put out for us. The pool is beautuful and the gardening very scenic. Thank you everyone for making our vacation wonderful.

The staff was helpful and friendly, always called me by my first name and knew my allergies. The property was beautiful.

The three stars are really for the room - it was nice and spacious with a beautiful view. However, everything else about this resort is pretty underwhelming and overpriced. The beach looked filthy with brown water, seaweed and garbage everywhere and pretty much deserted. The food was overpriced and quite mediocre in quality. The one time we wanted to use the hot tub - it was pumping cold water and we went there to ask if they could make it warmer and waited and waited but no one even came out or did anything. The resort is located a good 30-40 min drive on the Golf Cart to Sam Pedro (and the road is completely destroyed, so the ride is very far from pleasant). If you're going to San Pedro area - I'd advise to stay somewhere within the town (or close to it), and not waste your money on this resort.

Room was spotless. Staff was accommodating. We had to leave early for our flight and they made us a to go breakfast. The place is pristine and very inviting. We would love to go back.

Loved it so much we stayed two extra nights

The food at their bistro and Mambo restaurant were highlights. Excellent, personalized service. Complimentary water shuttle is available.

Excellent resort

This is my second time at Matachica and it just continues to get better and better. My friend and I stayed in the Azul Villa. It was stunning and the staff is just ans incredible as my last stay. The spa treatments are a must.

Matachica is highly recommended for your stay in San Pedro. The service was exceptional. Upon arrival, we were greeted with welcome drinks. The room was lovely and well-maintained. The staff greeted us by name after our first meeting. I also loved the sweets they left in the room each night.
