Very accommodating stay with our dog .nice little touches for the dog .lovely shaded walks xx

We booked an accessible room as my husband has walking difficulties but is not wheelchair bound. We were very dismayed to find all the bedrooms were at the rear of the property from reception. Our allocated accessible room was nearly 200 yards from there and whilst we were moved to a regular bedroom immediately on entering the bedroom block, it was still the better part of a 150 yards walk back to the entrance. Also there were no disabled parking spaces close to the entrance, although fortunately they did have a drop off point. The bedroom itself was fine, even though the bedroom was firm and it only had 6 hangars in the wardrobe. The bathroom was compact and it was tricky to get in/out of the bath due to its height and the glass panel. I ate in the dining room, but my husband wasn’t feeling too well so, I ordered a cheese salad sandwich for him which came with the salad on the side and a tasteless slice of packet cheese. Although my chicken meal tasted lovely, it was cold the first time and the replacement was only warm. Overall a disappointing stay. The setting is lovely and the location quiet. It might be fine for a conference, or event but not great as a hotel.

Good room, clean and all the things you normally have. Peaceful area and even though there was a wedding party and a prom, we were unable to gear them. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice and we had the pizzas at dinner in the bar which tasted great(note for hotel- provide scissors or pizza cutter not knives for customers to cut pizza). Didn't use leisure facilities but will do next time and looked good. Downside for us was the room doors don't just shut, they bang- the 6am bang of the door near us wasn't really how we wanted to wake up- they need slow catches. Other than that it was a lovely stay and will go back. Good access into Nottingham amd other local sites for visitors.

Good clean rooms would be nice if they had a fridge and bottles of water were provided. Only had breakfast which was great and used the gym also good staff friendly.

It was the kind of experience that could have been great, but was let down by details. Staying for multiple nights, the simple act of providing clean mugs for drinks would mean that the place felt welcome. It's the only hotel I've ever stayed in where we had to do our washing up. The reception staff stated that replacing mugs or ensuring that they were clean "depended on the length of stay" - suffice to say that, at no point, had we stayed long enough for that to happen. That, and not replenishing coffee/tea/biscuits every day (but doing so on some days, making it feel like it was missed rather than actively not done). Additionally, two single duvets zipped into one cover is fine, if it did not mean that one part of the duvet was doubled over to fit, so one of us got double-thickness duvet and a very overheated few nights. It may not have been as uncomfortable as it was (the mattress was OK, but had definitely seen better days) if there was aircon, but at least the lack of that was known in advance. Breakfast was good value, though, and the leisure facilities were excellent. What should have been excellent as a place to stay was marred by unnecessary little things. A shame.

Ridiculously busy set up of an open day full of cadent gas engineers all clogging up the walkways which was quite dangerous with a lot of tripping hazards for us normal guests. Poorly organised and chaos everywhere. All vehicles were just abandoned in the car park, again mainly cadent engineers attend attending the open day. Terrible from start to finish.

Great hotel with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and everything was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend this hotel.

The fact that this was Dog friendly was probably the reason we booked great location lovely grounds. Great food and very helpful staff. Would recommend

Beautiful room, great amenities such as restaurant and bar ( also serves food in the bar area) , pool and hot tub. Including free parking and free full breakfast which was very good. The grounds are well kept with lots of places to relax and enjoy the views. You can also eat and have drinks outside if you want to. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels.

Lovely hotel to come and relax and go for a long walk. Enjoyed the circuit training in the morning Shame the hotel does not have spa

5th visit to active net event. Great venue and location

Lovely property, nice rooms and good facilities for kids. Swimming pool, games room and outside tennis and football court. Good selection of food in the restaurants and at breakfast.

Lovely Hotel for a short family break

Everything was excellent.The food was wonderful.The staff were very helpful and carried our extremely heavy bag to and from our room . Breakfast was amazing everything you could think of was available.

Very nice hotel, 5 star ⭐

Really liked the location and quality of the hotel! Loads of green areas around for walks, kids go run around and kick about! The hotel is expansive, very generous rooms and decent food! Not much variety on the menu in the restaurant and including breakfast if you don’t eat pork you have limited options The only point of improvement would be restaurant service, we waited for over an hour for our dinner and having a toddler and a new born it wasn’t a good experience we saw many tables served before ours and some that came after us got their food first, don’t want to think more of it but wasn’t nice to experience
