Very good hotel - restaurant provides good cuisine at reasonable prices. Breakfast buffet outstanding quality. Only ‘complaint’ was lack of walk in shower. Bath with hand held shower difficult to navigate as panels too high and no grab rail. However pluses far outweigh the negatives. For those - like us - using Perugia as base to c For independent travellers HGWeJA is very accessible by public transport. It is about 1km from the main rail station. You can get buses (B,C)to and from the bus station which stop very near the hotel. The TS circular bus (Mon- Sat) will take you into the historical town in less than ten minutes and return you in under 15 minutes. Recommend Umbria50 7 day card for €45 -

Very accommodating staff

Although a bit dated, the concept of a wine and jazz hotel is fantastic. The atmosphere was great, especially when there was live music. E.g. for breakfast! A bit pricey for what you get, but I would definitely go again.

great property to utilize for the Perugia City Center area Easy Downhill 8 min walk to the Tram Station, and a easy 22 Min walk down later in the evening from the City Center Lunch as excellent at the Hotel, and the breakfast options were great as well Overall very happy with the hotel property

Very friendly staff

We enjoyed our time here. The reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful. It’s easy getting into the old town via a walk to the minimetro station.

Stylized decor. But AC in the room wasn’t up to the job. Had to leave the door to hallway propped open because it was cooler in the hallway.

Needs shower curtains in the bathrooms and AC that works... Probably more of a 2* than a 4* Staff friendly though.

I liked easy parking and breakfast

Large hotel. Rooms are very dated and have jazz deco. They have a massage chair in each room. I felt like I was in a 2 star room. Mattress was covered by one sheet. Used a towel to add protection. Restaurant and service was good. Parking good.

Location good. Standard of hotel and amenities excellent. Easy parking. The hotel has no bar which is unfortunate. Otherwise all facilities, restaurant, breakfast etc very good.

Great stay - 30 mins walk into historic district!

Parking can be tricky in old, walled Italian cities so we opted for this hotel slightly outside the historic centre as it has a car park and baby cribs. Arrived at lunchtime to find plenty of space at the front of the hotel to keep the car during check-in The lobby was nice and modern and check-in was quick and efficient. Our room was in the other block, next to the car park so got back in the car and went to the other block (literally just across to road so very easy). Parking was straightforward but the other block was much older and a little dated. The theme of wine, jazz and chocolate is a bit quirky but, hey.....! Room was comfortable enough although smelled a bit fusty. We were pleased to find the crib had already been set up in the room and was suitable. Walk to the historic city centre is not long in distance, but is strenuous as it's up a steep hill so took about 15-20 minutes with buggy. After getting back down to the hotel and doing baby bath time etc it was getting late and no nearby eateries were open for takeaway, so we went to reception and ordered room service from the restaurant which claimed to be very good. Once the food arrived we were very pleased to confirm that the food is indeed very good and very reasonable considering it was room serviced! Didn't get a chance to check out any of the other hotel amenities. Overall, not amazing, but suited our needs perfectly so very happy.

The hotel is close to local bus station. If you don't want to walk uphills and downhills. There are buses to the University of Perugia, the city center (Piazza Italia) , Bus Terminal and Perugia Railway Station. A supermarket (Conrad) is close by. There are not much restaurants in the neighborhood and no scenery.
