It's a lovely hotel with 3 pools and is right by the beach (not even a minute away) it's a very quite small town so not much noise unless the hotel is holding an event and for us that wasn't bad.

Juat got back from a one week stay. Staff were great, some names to look out for it you go are Domingo, Cristian and Carman. The room was adequate, clean but lacking some basics. No tea & coffee making facilities in the room, no wifi in the room (although on the day we were leaving routers were being installed in rooms), tv only had 1 English speaking channel which was bbc world news and even that was with poor reception. Food is a good standard, not 5 star but good for all inclusive. Very much a European customer base. Mainly Germans, not a problem for us but they can get quite loud and came across as brash. Spa was good but again not 5 star quality. Steam room wasn't working, some of the showers weren't working. Generally tired in places.

We found the hotel in very quiet area which we didn't know about before we came. We found it isolating nothing much around as I shops cafes or bars. We found ourselves the only English couple so chatting to others near on impossible. Staff friendly but not all had goid English and no travel books in English either. Leaflets for activities around but felt unable to ask abt stuff due to barriers of language. Even though the weather was mixed I would travel to fuetaventura again but not this area

Nice fresh hotel, very clean and I liked room disign. I had good relaxing week, what I was expecting. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Food was excellent. SPA was good, only working hours good to be extended at later. I found the corridors too windy for this time of year.

Booked hotel two months ago. Arrived to be told no booking for us so will move us to another hotel in a different resort. I will add more detail once Expedia have handled my complaint. The attitude of the reception staff was terrible. I booked this adults only hotel, as we gave never had a sun holiday with out kids. This was supposed to be a relaxing time together.

Room was excellent, upgraded to a suite. Hotel was on the coast but not a holiday resort, good beaches 30 minute drive. Food was ok only. Service in resturaunt was poor. Bar area for evenings was poor and service very very slow. Good that it was adults only, but would not entertain returning due mainly to the area it was in.

Hotel location: in a small town with very little else but the hotel. We have a car so we went out pretty much every day. Do not go there without a rental car. Entertainment: a mixture of dismaland and disneyland. not really apropriate for the crowd and fairly annoying. I had to run away from them. Food: we were all inclusive. There were copious amount of food but the quality wasn't up to scratch. Drinks: I do not drink alcohol but my husband does and he said that the quality of alcohol was extremely poor, to the point that we went out and bought a bottle of cognac to have in our room. Rooms: We had a junior suite. |The rooms were ok, very clean. I said the rooms because we were switching rooms. We had 252 first and that was on top of the kitchen. The cooks arrive at 4am and after that time we were unable to sleep. They moved us to room 262, this was close to reception and next to the disco area. The noise now was until 1am and then a bunch of people in the corridors until 3 am. In summary I came back more tired than I went, extremely EXTREMELY annoying. I keep complaining but nothing happened. This is not a hotel to rest. SPA: with a 7 days stay all inclusive you get entrance twice to the spa. that is unacceptable. The rest of the days you need to pay 10 euros per person per entry.

We stayed in R2 Hotel in the middle of October. We have enjoyed everey minute, the food was lovely and staff very helpful and friendly especially on the reception. We had a full inclusive but there were few little things which bothered me such as bottle of water which I expected to have it every day in my room but unfortunately we had to buy it. Otherwise all the drinks were on the house all day long by the bar. Please bear in mind you would need to pay for the safe box extra money. Overall, nice holiday but If you woudl like to see more than hotel facilities please do hire a car as there are lots of beautiful beaches down the Jandia.

Nice stay, however, amenities like Wi-Fi and in-room safe should be provided free of additional charges.

Accomodation 1st class. Food very good with a good choice & variable menu. Good variation in drinks under the 'all inclusive' umbrella, although all local rather than known brand products. Staff all very pleasant & helpful. The slight downsides were that there were not sufficient sunbeds for everyone & therefore people tended to get up very early to reserve them, despite there being signs to say this was forbidden, there was a leak from the ceiling in the main entrance lobby which has been on-going for a long time & the free bars all ended at 23.00 hrs. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay but I must add that there is very little in the village its self & a hire car is a must, unless you are happy to stay within the confines of the hotel all the time.

The R2 Bahia Playa is a very nice hotel with good rooms and some lovely pool areas, well-maintained and seems to have been recently refurbished. The hotel is all-inclusive and the food is fairly good although not a la carte quality. Drinks included are local brands only and that is fine when it comes to beer and wine, however local brands of gin and cachaca is horrible so stay clear of those! The guests seem to be a mix of a variety of European nationalities and age groups and that has its good and bad sides. Good thing is that no one nationality dominates the hotel, however the very cool hotel bar and disco remained almost empty as most guests were outside of that target group - and that was a shame! The spa is very nice indeed, although the price level is easily as expensive as in most European countries, so go pamper yourself but don't expect it to come cheaply :o) As for the location, Tarajalejo is a traditional Canarian village with only one hotel and a few apartment complexes for tourists. This makes it fairly authentic but also a bit on the dull side. The island of Fuerteventura is not exactly heaven when it comes to activities beyond swimming and watersports either, so we would recommend this hotel to people looking for a cool hotel with decent food and good pool areas - if you want to see a lot or drive to cosy villages during the day, you should try your luck on Gran Canaria or Tenerife instead.

We stayed in four hotels in a week on Fuerteventura, and the R2 was easily the best. The food was great, as were the staff - and even the guests! I would most definitely go back. Most all-inclusives just pile on lots of samey food, but the R2 takes great care over a slightly smaller range of dishes. It's a shame that we were only there for one night (but three meals!).

It was better than expected. We arrived at 1100 expecting to have to wait until 1400 which was the advised check in time, but this was not a problem. We were sent to view the selected room with the instructions to return to reception if we had any concerns and wanted to view another room; no need, the room was excellent. If I had to find a problem with the room it needed better means to dry of the towels, there was only one hook. Every member of the staff were attentive and friendly, nothing was too much for them. The hotel was busy, with mainly Germen, French, Spanish and Eastern European guests, I believe we were the only Brits amongst them. Catering was buffet style, plentiful and good variety with themed evenings, house drinks were all inclusive, including acceptable wines. If all you wanted in a hotel was to enjoy the facilities within, then the hotel is ideal. Whilst we may not return to this particular Hotel, I would certainly look to see if there was an R2 hotel at future destination.
