I had the pleasure of staying at De Vere Latimer Estate for 6 days, and overall I had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere of this historic estate is truly special, with beautiful surroundings, stunning landscapes, and a peaceful environment that makes you feel relaxed. The food was excellent, with great quality and taste, and I really enjoyed the overall dining experience. The setting of the estate, the gardens, and the character of the building are some of the highlights of this place. The only thing I found missing was the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. During warmer days, having air conditioning would make the stay much more comfortable. Apart from that, it was a very enjoyable stay and a place I would happily return to.

We went to the Afternoon Tea in the Library for a family celebration yesterday afternoon and it was truly wonderful. It would have been nice for some more sandwiches to be available (choices of sandwich). However the scones were divine and cakes were lovely. I think the tea selection can be broader too. Really our experience would not have been the same without the lovely June! She was waiting on us this afternoon and how she catered to my families needs was truly remarkable. She spent much time listening and quickly acting on their requests. She has an amazing personality and personally I really appreciated her kindness throughout. Thank you to the wonderful June⭐️

We stayed here for two nights, as the location is absolutely excellent for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. The hotel itself looks lovely, the grounds are beautiful, and it has a lot of interesting history—considering its age, it is very well cared for. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, with a special shout-out to the barmen who were fantastic. Our room was lovely and clean, and the bed was very comfortable, even if the space was a little dark. However, a few things did bring down the overall standard of the hotel for us. The noise from the flooring in the North Wing was a real issue; it creaks so loudly that it sounds like your neighbours are in the room with you at night. We were also disappointed with the leisure facilities. The area is closed between 3 pm and 6 pm, which makes it difficult to use. While the pool itself was lovely, the changing rooms are very small, and the sauna needs maintenance, as it had broken planks and a hole in the seat. Dining was another letdown. We couldn’t eat in the restaurant because a convention was on and the venue was closed to regular guests. This event also caused major parking issues, despite the hotel having plenty of spaces. As a result, we were restricted to the very small bar menu, which was just okay. We did order one item that wasn't what the menu described, but the barman sorted it out immediately. Overall, we had a nice time, but given the standards I usually expect from the De Vere brand, it was a little disappointing.

The rooms do get very hot and stuffy especially in warm weather. There is no air con but that being said the breakfast is lovely, the pool and changing rooms are lovely and the environment is beautiful it sits on lovely grounds that are well maintained and the wildlife is lovely! The location for what we needed was amazing. We have stayed here twice and would definitely stay again!

I stayed at De Vere Wokefield Estate for a business trip and had a very pleasant experience. It’s a beautiful place to unwind, the greenery all around creates a peaceful atmosphere that really helps you disconnect from daily stress after a busy day. The room I stayed in was comfortable and perfectly fine for a relaxing stay. The building itself is impressive, with a charming historic feel. I learned that parts of the estate were used for military purposes in the past, which adds an interesting layer of history to the experience. If you enjoy working out while traveling, the gym is decent, I tried it and it does the job, although it could be improved with more equipment. The food at the hotel is ok, menu could be better, the service is fantastic. All the staff were friendly, professional, and made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a great place to combine business with relaxation.
