Our stay was very comfortable. Parking is convenient, staff is attentive and helpful. We travelled three instead of two and asked if it was possible to put additional bed into our double room. In spire of very late arrival and short notice everything was arranged quickly and very well.

Been with my wife; could return with kids; nice big outdoor pool which we used; nice Spa with improvable up-keeping. Excellent value for money and good location near motorways and at a populated area in the center of the country; nice nearby spots to eat; biggish room, very tidy and clean. Good breakfast. A calm, relaxing place, still very central for business uses

Hotel was very comfortable, clean and had nice amenities. Breakfast was very good. I would recommend it highly. The staff was very helpful and spoke English which made it easy for us to find destinations nearby. They assisted us in making train reservations which was very helpful.

We booked this hotel as a break from a series of stays in center city, old town hotels in Spain and Portugal. With this in mind, it worked out very well. The hotel itself was clean and the staff very helpful. The restaurant was nice and the food better than average. Our stay included use of bikes, hottubs, turkish baths and saunas - and since the hotel was almost empty we were able to take full advantage. On the downside, the surroundings are not the open countryside we had hoped for. Estarreja (and, as far as we could tell, much of coastal Portugal) seems to be in the throes of a chaotic and largely unplanned build-out, and what was probably open country a few years ago is quickly becoming a blighted mishmash of characterless 'agglomerations'. Our bike rides were a lot like soldiers' description of warfare: stretches of nothing punctuated by moments of sheer terror. If you are looking for 'old' Portugal, you might want to try Evora, which is much better preserved. Still, with these caveats in mind, this area does have pluses: Aveiro, Porto and the beaches are all quite close by.

As we traveled around Portugal on vacation, this was the one disappointing spot on our overall experience. No bellhop to help with bags and no ofer from front desk to get us a baggage cart. Front desk seemed mildly annoyed with any question or request. Very snooty for such a lack-luster, out-of-the-way hotel. One positive was cleanliness of the facility. Breakfast was awful, I have had better coffee in the waiting room of my local Jiffy Lube.
