A warm welcome from Jenny. Excellent breakfasts. A characterful property of considerable age with slightly quirky elements: who would expect statues of a Buddha and komodo dragon in a former abbey? Our en suite room room was spacious and clean. The large bed looked a little antique, but was very comfortable. Many would join us in liking like that mix of character and comfort.

We had a wonderful time here! The property is beautiful and well maintained. Our room was very clean and had a great view of the garden. Jenny was a wonderful host and cooked a delicious breakfast! We will definitely be staying again next time we’re in the area.

Lovely night stop over, the room was clean, comfortable and had everything needed for your stay, although slightly dated it is an old property and the furnishings fitted in with the age of the property. Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good . Good value for money. If you want a place to stay for a quick stop over and easy access for places to see in Cornwall then it’s great.

It's a breath of fresh air to travel to accomodation and arrive early and to be offered afternoon tea whilst waiting for our room to be available. Jenny the host was an absolute breath of fresh air and nothing was too much for her to accommodate us. Easy parking, stunning grounds with a lovely stream running through it. Breakfast was absolutely spot on. I visit hotels all over the U.K with work and this place is a breath of fresh air. Overall a must visit place within 10 minutes walk to a local pub called the Lanivet inn that served excellent food at really competitive prices, highly recommend but you may need to book. I have been visiting nearby Bodmin for over 12 years and this place is the best I have stayed in with my partner. We shall return later in the year and look forward to Jenny's hospitality once more Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. A warm welcome, comfy bed and a great breakfast! I had messaged to ask if they had wine glasses, as we hoped to play cards and drink wine in the lovely grounds. Wine glasses were kindly provided in our room.

We received a warm welcome and the owners were friendly and polite. The abbey was easy to locate and our room was comfortable and a good size. The breakfast is excellent and you can walk to a nearby pub for dinner. Pleased to see parking was provided as well. From here we explored the jail, Fowey, Charlestown and everything in between so it’s a central location. I would recommend the abbey for a nice place to stay if you want to see the surrounding areas.

Lovely hotel just off the Saints Way and they are really welcoming to walkers. Excellent breakfast, best eggs we had on the trip. Just a few minutes walk from a pub and chippy for an evening meal, these are on the Saints Way so you can eat before checking in and save yourself the extra steps. The building is old and historically interesting. The gardens are lovely to enjoy your coffee in

A very pleasant stay at an unusual hotel in a building dating back to the middle ages. Definitely will go back again. Super nice staff, breakfast is excellent!
