Had a lovely stay the staff are so nice and helpful. Beds are very comfortable and the food is great. Was so nice being somewhere that caters for gluten free with no problems. This is our second stay here and we will definitely be back.

Great staff and lovely evening meal along with breakfast the next day. Air conditioned room which was much appreciated with the heatwave. Ample parking and good choice of beers at the bar to watch the world cup game.

A quiet and comfortable pub/hotel in a rural setting. well located for Newbury and main routes. Staying during the recent heatwave, the excellent air con in the bedrooms was wonderful. My room was comfortable and everything worked fine. Meals are served in the dining room and on a shady patio - decent pub fare at fair prices, the salads were particularly good with ample portions. Breakfast (£9 if you prebook) has a limited range of starters but a very good freshly cooked full English and decent coffee. All staff were friendly and welcoming.

We stayed here whilst competing in a qualifier at Donnington golf course, great location. Lovely comfortable room, powerful shower in bathroom. Nice to have the tea/coffee making facility in the room. Food at breakfast and in the restaurant was fabulous!

This is a charming, family-run inn near Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey). The accommodations were comfortable although simple, and the pub is fantastic, with really excellent food. The service by the family that owns th Inn and their employees is very good. The prices are reasonable, and the locals are friendly. The garden is very pretty also. No complaints, would stay again. The tomato soup and goat cheese salad were standouts.

Gave us what it said on the box. Room a little small but fine for our one night stay. King rather than double bed would have been better.

I only stopped for one night as I was attending a show at Newbury. My room was very large and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive and able to help me with gluten free options (of which there were plenty). Pub and restaurant areas are fantastic. All in all a great stay :)
