The building was a old but super charming and renovated. If you need anything, just ask. There was no mini fridge in the room, all I had to do was request one and it was there when we arrived. The history of the building is amazing. The elevator is like something out of a Bond movie. There are common areas on each floor. Ours had a pool table. Gladstone is definitely worth the stay!! The staff will try everything to make your stay comfortable. Just ask!!! And, Chef is wonderful!! Everyone is!!

Beautiful historic building with working old school elevator. Modern clean rooms with comfortable beds. Walking distance to World Cup stadium. Smash burgers in bar were delicious. Only issue we had was parking garage was too low for our truck but we were easily able to park overnight at the grocery store behind the hotel.

If I had anything negative to say about this spot, was the bed "space" was very tight on 1 side. Had to do a crab walk to get in and out, but, I chose the least expensive room

Stayed for the World Cup. Nice hotel and very clean property. The staff was kind and professional! Very walkable area with lots of shops and restaurants around!

Visited during Toronto FIFA world Cup 2026. Rates were much higher. Room was smaller than expected. Hotel was cute and had 2 eateries in the lobby which were good.

Great location to access restaurants, BMO stadium and RBC Amphitheatre. Yummy breakfast at the cafe.

Love this hotel for when we're town for shows at RBC Amphitheatre! A short walk to Liberty Village for pre-show dinner, then another 20 min walk to the venue. A very cool hotel and the best, and friendliest staff!

Loved staying here!!! Between the clean, comfortable and charming rooms there is also a library, pool table, gym, 2 restaurants/bars/outdoor patio and an old fashioned elevator!!! The staff were amazing!! I am coming back!!!!!

The property is beautiful and the staff were very friendly. However, I unfortunately woke up to a cockroach crawling up my back in the morning. They refunded our $30 parking, which was nice of them. I understand that you can only do so much about unwanted pests in an older building, but it was not a great experience overall.

The hotel was an unique spot right in the middle of a vibrant, busy neighborhood. The hotel room was clean. There washroom design was odd as the sink and light were outside the bathroom. The toilet and shower were self-contained with no way to clean up after using the it. The old-style elevator was a nice feature and was the on-site cafe and restaurant. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the property. Clean, and very comfortable. has everything you need. The staff wasn’t always helpful though. They didn’t check in my parking info (even though all the information was provided) so I hope I don’t get a fine. I payed the parking at the hotel. I also got charged 2x at checkout and now have to call the hotel and ensure I get that resolved.

The room was laid out practically with not a lot of space to sit or put things away. There was no cable tv but that wasn’t a problem since we rarely watch tv when in Toronto. Parking was located across the street via laneway under the grocery store so it was semi secure (better than being on the street) but not worry free. The main issue is that our room faced the south side (Queen street) so we could hear all the traffic including the streetcars. All that said, the room had a rustic charm about it and you felt you were in a historic building (which you were). The staff were all lovely and the restaurant was good. Location was fantastic if you wanted to be out of downtown core but still close enough to walk.
