Delightful owner/host, great breakfast, clean, comfortable, and quiet room.

We had a small room which was quite dark as it only had a small window which overlooked the hotel atrium. Breakfasts were very good and the hotel staff were extremely helpful. One feature to note specifically was the wonderful examples of art which were scattered through the hotel - really quite special. The hotel is extremely central and a good base from which to walk the city.

Staff was attentive. Excellent breakfast. My room was very clean. Extremely close to historical center, less than a 5 minute walk.

We had a great stay. The staff, especially Antonio, was very hospitable and helpful. Room was spotless clean. Right in the historic center with dining options and shopping. About 20 minute walk to the train station. Fantastic breakfast!!!

From the moment we arrived, the receptionist was unpleasant and made us feel as though we were inconveniencing her. She asked for the names under which we had booked our two single rooms, then claimed she had no record of our reservations—all in a condescending, dismissive tone. I explained that I had booked on February 5th through Hotels.com and showed her my confirmation email. She told me to wait while she started up her computer. I could see our names on her screen from where I stood, yet she continued to insist she couldn’t find our reservation. When I finally pointed out that I could see our names, she admitted she didn’t know what had happened and said only one room was available. She never offered an apology and maintained her superior attitude the entire time. I understand mistakes can happen—nobody’s perfect. However, I cannot accept being treated so poorly, especially when the error was not mine.

Fabulous gem of a hotel. Friendly staff who made us feel so welcome and could do enough to help, superb breakfast with so much choice, and comfortable, super clean, quiet rooms. Add to that the fact that it’s in a superb location, less than a minute’s walk to the Castello Estense and the main square. Definitely recommended.

This is a lovely town. And this hotel very well. Suits the town because it’s also very lovely. It’s a family run business but they do a magnificent job. I would highly recommend staying here and I would certainly return. Should I have a need?

Very comfortable and quiet room, excellent breakfast (lots of fresh fruit, good coffee, tasty sweet and savoury tarts...) and welcoming staff. The hotel is on a quiet street near the Castello and Ferrara's fascinating Old Town. We would love to return to the hotel.

This boutique hotel is clean, well maintained and charming. It’s family run and despite being a little dated, has a charm to it. Really well located close to the castle and just a block from the center of town. Very solid breakfast!

The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. A very nice breakfast was included. Coming off the highway, it seemed somewhat industrial, but once we arrived at the hotel and started exploring the town- it turned out to be very charming. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Simple in the best possible sense and in a quiet street just outside of the city walls but within close walking distance to every possible sight, restaurant, and other attraction.

Nice small family run hotel right in the heart of Ferrara near everything you want to see as well as some very good restaurants all within walking distance. The Castle is literally right around the corner. Great place and neighborhood to stay in. We would definitely go back here.
