The hotel was a disappointment as contrary to advertisement in fact did not have air conditioning. It only uses air conditioning part of the year. The air was stagnant, humid and warm. Very disappointing. The rooms and baths we at the same time modern and at the same time drab, I will never be fooled about claims of air conditioning again. The staff and breakfast were very satisfactory and the hotel had a modern part and a dated part. We were assigned the dated part perhaps because we booked through Expedia. The Ferrara train station was the worst of all that we traveled through in Italy. This experience left met with little desire to visit the City again.

Location, location, location the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very unique. Oh did I mention location?

Location ideal for access to historic center. Executive room had direct view of castle and square. It was also quite roomy, comfortable bed, with beamed ceiling and skylight. Very clean and appealing. Breakfast tasty with lots of options. Staff helpful and cordial.

It was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located in an amazing location with plenty to see and do. The rooms and hotel are very well appointed and clean.

Right in the center of the tourist area of town. Rooms are Ok and breakfast is nice.

Well located for the historic centre of Ferrara. In need of some updating and renovation, to the extent that it is a bit of a stretch to classify it 4 Star.

Fantastic location, literally opposite the castle. Ferrara is walkable and this is a perfect location. Good breakfast, which one can eat under a glass canopy in the open air. Modern stylish hotel. The rooms are less upmarket than the lobby area.

Central Location and good local restaurants. Parking is an issue, but doable. Shopping is nearby as well.

Not sure if this is really a Mecure Hotel, front entrance blocked off, side entrance only with no clear signage, no WiFi the whole 24 hours we were there, they reset modem at front desk several times but no luck, they told me to call back if issues continue. Sadly the phone did not work, for an international chain no foreign TV stations just Italian ? On the paper in the room it does say BBC & CNN but they are not to be found. Pay for parking pass than you go out roam the streets for blue lined parking spaces ? All in all. Not a Mercure property ! We have stayed in several around the world but this one did not meet up to expectations.

L’hôtel est très bien situé . Le seul inconvénient c’est le stationnement. Il fallait trouver un parking sur la rue aux alentours de l’hôtel.

Wifi was very poor even after moving rooms. Rooms were ok but nothing special in need of an update. A few inconveniences on the way so an average stay not a place i would return.

This newer hotel is in one of the best locations in the city in the piazza beside the castle. Lovely staff. Very quiet area and clean comfortable rooms. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet for 5 euro but strangely, there is a separate charge for coffee. Not being big breakfast eaters, we enjoyed better cappuccino and a pastry for less money at the big cafe across the square.

It was amazing as always.

Good: Ideal central location opposite the castle. The room was very quiet - no noise from inside hotel, just a little from outside. Excellent comfortable, firm mattress. Enormous e/s shower room. Cleaning staff were very efficient and the first receptionist was very helpful and kind and lent me a power adaptor. Not so good: The wifi kept dropping and was often slow. The hotel had no bikes for hire even though cycle hire is popular in Ferrara. The hotel opposite had bikes for hire and gave a discounted rate to their own guests. At checkout I had to pay city tax not mentioned when I booked. Irritating, but Hotels.com, who answered the phone immediately, agreed to refund me. The place to leave luggage is not secure. Just under the stairs. When I collected my bag no-one even noticed!

Ferrara is a very nice town , Hotel is very confortable and right next to the casstle.
