This is a typical, old hotel in very convenient location for Victoria station, bus station, Buckingham palace, restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops. No lifts and narrow staircase, as we expected. The hotel is being renovated and this impacts the maintenance and cleanliness. Our room was below street level, which made it quiet and cool during a heatwave. Bed was comfy and we slept soundly, with very little street noise. Bathroom was in need of some repair but it was suitable. The staff were excellent and helpful. Price was inexpensive for such a convenient location, reflecting the current condition of the premises.

El personal fue muy amable y atento siempre,el vuelo nos lo cancelaron pero ellos nos buscaron otra habitacion y nos quedamos un dia mas.algunas habitaciones no estaban actualizadas pero por el precio y el lugar esta bastante bien. No hay ascensores y hay que subir escaleras pero la mayoria en el area son así, la dama de la cocina es exelente en servicio.

Firstly I can't fault the staff. They went above and beyond to help when we had issues beyond their control. Best thing about our stay. Unfortunately we had a number of issues, meaning that during our stay we slept in 2 different rooms. Broken TV. Blocked sink. Radiator stuck on (it was a sweltering day)-unable to open the window due to the noise outside. Missing clothes rail in wardrobe. Poor WiFi. Shower impossible to get a usable temperature. Fire control panel beeping outside our room 24 hours. Poor breakfast. Forgotten about at breakfast. Whilst the hotel is clearly undergoing some refurbishment, it'll be a long while before I'd dare stay again. Area wise it was extremely convenient for Victoria and some lovely shops just round the corner.

Building very run down inside and out, worn carpets held together with tape and paint on walls badly needed. Breakfast served in basement, you pass building materials in hallways as you go down. When there it is more like a hostel than a hotel. Room was small, en suite tiny. But on positive side, room was spotlessly clean as was bed which was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast food was ok once you came to terms with the surroundings. A budget hotel so expectations weren't high but it badly needs refurbished. Location is excellent, 10 minute walk from Victoria station and 20 minutes walk to Westminister. It did the job when all that was really needed was somewhere to sleep while doing touristy things in London.

Decent budget hotel in a great location, close to Victoria station, with many bars, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Externally the hotel looks nice with character. Typical of the properties in the area. Internally it looks a little tired, but there is clearly decorating and refurbishment works being carried out to address this. Check-in was excellent and staff were professional, friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My room looked like it had been decorated fairly recently, and it was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the towels were fresh. The bathroom was in good condition, although there was a slight issue with the shower during my stay where the fixed mount shower head didn’t work but I was still able to use the second attachment so not a huge problem and I expect that will be fixed quickly. There were no tea / coffee making facilities in the room, which wasn’t an issue for me, and there is a vending machine for snacks on the ground floor plus a room service delivery option provided by a partner company. A cooked breakfast plus cereals and toast is included in the room price, which is a bonus and was fine for me, but the limited choice won’t suit everyone. Overall I would say that this is a reasonably priced hotel in a very convenient Central London location, so fine for a short stay. I would stay again, but I have stayed in a number of similar but better hotels for less.

Stayed here with 2 friends, we had a triple room, it was clean, but dated, tv didn't work, the bed was a bit lumpy, the shower head didn't fit in the holder and the food was meh. However the location was fabulous, the staff were lovely and we didn't go to London to hang around in the hotel. For the price will definitely stay again.

The rooms were in a very poor state, the bathroom was even worse and very dirty. Although the water is harder in London than other places in the uk, the shower head was so clogged up with limescale the water was only dribbling our of one hole, the tap was hanging off the sink and basically was not what you would expect from a hotel. I have personally seen better bathrooms in youth hostel’s. The room itself was disgraceful, with broken electric sockets and extension leads across the room. Huge cracks across the ceiling and dated wallpaper hanging off the walls. The breakfast was very poor, no choice and not a standard that could even been described as basic. I would never go back to this hotel or recommend it to anyone.

The hotel its self was a little tired and worn in places but this is obviously reflected in the price. They staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Excellent location for exploring Westminster, Battersea and The South Bank, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Property was in a fabulous location. However, our room and bathroom were pretty dire…you get what you pay for! One night was ok, but that was enough! And breakfast…free or not was awful…

The location is perfect for walking to Victoria Station or the underground. You can stroll through St. James Park, Hyde Park, and Kensington Park to the Victoria and Albert Museum, the best museum in London. And it's free. The staff is super helpful, the room was clean, and breakfast was adequate, The walls are thin, so you hear people coming and going, but the management will loan you a fan to drown out noise. No A/C, but the fan makes it cool enough. Plenty of shops, pubs, and restaurants nearby. A good value for the price.

Good area but a lot of steps

Staff are friendly hotel room very rundown not clean. Breakfast was not good tasted awful.

We booked a room for 3 people which came up a really good price for the area. The hotel was easy to find and the guy at checkin was nice and friendly. Our room was downstairs, it had a double and single bed in it, the room and bathroom were clean however the overall room just looked tired and needs a bit of a freshen up and refit, not all the above bed lights worked and paint was peeling off the walls. There is no kettle in the rooms however there is a drinks machine in the hallway as you come in where you can get a free hot drink or hot and cold water. My main issue is the shower didn't work, it was over a bath and you were supposed to lift up the button to make the water come out of the shower head but it was impossible. Not too much of an issue for a 1 night stay but I wouldn't have been happy if I was staying longer. Breakfast was ok and a bit of a bonus for the price we paid. The staff serving were nice and friendly too. Overall I would stay here again for an overnight stay, the area is nice and very close to Victoria station for trains/buses and tubes.

Needs some updating, no hot water

Great place to rest your head after a long day of sightseeing. It was close to all you want to see, within walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, etc.. Room was ok, definitely dated though. Shower was unusable due to it being moldy. Other than that though it was a great location and the bed was comfy enough to have a great nights sleep. Enjoyed the fact that they had free luggage storage. Breakfast was included in the stay, and it smelled delicious but there was t enough tables to sit and eat so we didn’t eat.

The staff was very nice. The location is fantastic. We took the train from Gatwick right to Victoria. Victoria station is a 5 minute walk so you can get anywhere. Theaters are nearby as well. The price was great for London. But the property is in very poor condition. Wallpaper is peeling, carpets are worn and stained. There were three beds in our room and two were just horrible…old and you could feel every spring in the mattress. One twin bed seemed newer. There are few amenities offered. The breakfast was ok. But the staff was very friendly and if you look past the condition of the hotel, it did appear to be clean.

Close to Victoria bus and train station, clean room and comfortable bed, shower not powerful or warm, no tea making facilities in room, hotel very much a work in progress, some newer carpeting a lot of old, and some building work around however this was acknowledged by helpful staff. Room keys are left at reception when going out. Due to age of building and no lift would not be suitable for people with mobility issues. Free breakfast was toast, cereal, cooked breakfast was provided if wished, however sausage was cold. It was a good budget London hotel, no frills but handy for seeing the sights and theatres.

Yes the hotel in a easy access to transport ,but the only polite staff were the reception room very poor sheets didnt fit the bed iv stayed in better hostels ,the staff in the breakfast room very rude if she didnt like you the breakfast wasnt offered ,the are doing the place up but it is very unsafe there the bannister was wobbling as you walked down to the basement definitely no health and safety regulations there and didnt see any fire exits in the basement that i seen . Would not stay here again

My room was clean and comfortable bed and Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a convenient location to tube and shops and situated in a nice area. I had a lovely stay.
