Great welcome and stay

Shouty receptionist/waitress lady was very rude to us, so we won’t be coming back.

The room was very small. There was only 1 plug. There was no air conditioner and only a small fan. London was over 90 degrees, so it was not a comfortable temperature.

I liked that you could fully open the sash window, also on the hottest day of the year the large fan was very welcomed. Basic continental breakfast, enough to get you started for the day.

Such a good location and friendly staff

Good basic hotel close to Paddington. Basement room was very bright. Staff friendly and efficient. Only issue was it felt run down, but that’s probably why it’s so affordable.

Really clean. Comfortable bed. It was very hot weather in London so the fan was welcome. Friendly staff. Excellent value. Highly recommend.

Even if it’s for 1hr don’t stay here. It’s just terrible, you’ll regret it. Drag your luggage up floors. No AC in the room. Toilet smells of bleach with no ventilation. Carpets stink and beds are uncomfortable. And don’t ask for extra towels it’s £1 for each. Save your dignity and hygiene stay elsewhere.

This hotel is located very near Paddington station and to various shops, bus routes and sites. The room and the breakfast area are somewhat small, but the service was good. We appreciated the quietness an security of the hotel.

Small but very nice hotel. Room was clean and in good condition. Cold breakfast was plentiful and varied. Very nice employees. Overall a good stay. Would stay again!

Simple, small, clean hotel, good value for money and excellent location for visiting places in London. Close to Paddington station and Hyde park

This hotel has no elevator. As a 74 yr old woman with limited mobility I was on the 3rd floor which was awful. The single room was so small I could only open my suitcase when the closet and bathroom doors were closed. Very limited toiletries, ie 2 small sachets. Adequate Continental breakfast. Kind staff but a very poor choice

Excellent value for money

Comfortable bed Miniscule toilet but enough for a short stay. 0 sound proofing, if people talked outside the room it felt as if they were inside the room itself.

It is a very basic hotel, but good location, super nice staff. Good, fair value.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel, it is after all a budget hotel, so it is not the Ritz, but it doesn't claim to be. The staff were friendly, kind, and very helpful. it was very well positioned for Paddington Station, lots of local shops and eateries, and Hyde Park on the doorstep. I was very concerned as I normally stay with a big chain and you just don't know what you are going to get, but for teh price I paid, at relatively short notice it was perfect. I was on the third floor, and the upper stairs are quite steep, I would not have said that this is a hotel for someone with mobility issues.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was small but well kept. Close to 2 subway stations and walkable distance to many historical attractions. Breakfast was surprisingly good for a small hotel.

We needed a hotel that was convenient to Paddington railway station after returning from an holiday abroad and this fitted the bill. 10 minute walk to station. It would also be a good place to stay if visiting London .Nice simple continental breakfast. Only criticism would be the beds which were very hard and only a thin pillow

Had a really good stay at the Hotel Columbus. Room was great although bathroom was quite small. Overall very good.
