I stayed here for my birthday and it was a 10/10. The staff was extremely helpful and kind! I would definitely come back.

I enjoyed the hotel, the room annd breakfast were nice and the staff was fantastic. The only issue for me was getting back and forth to the train station because it was pouring when I arrived and a very long walk. On the return, Ubet wouldnt pick me up in front of the hotel so I again walked the half mile back to the train station I definitely brought too much luggage! For the cathedral and old town it was a good location, though.

Great hotel ! Centrally located, Only issue we had was that the AC is turned off, most likely cause it’s cooler outside , but you really can’t leave window open because you hear all the noise from the tourists and rowdy locals at night lol.

I had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Gutenberg! The hotel is conveniently located in the old city and just a 15 minute walk from the bus station. There are quite a few bars, restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops within a few minutes walk. The cathedral is very close by with Petite France just a 10 minute walk away. The hotel staff were all professional, friendly, and I was greeted every time I entered or exited the building. They offered suggestions and provided directions whenever I asked. My room was large and very comfortable with a large window for plenty of light. I will absolutely stay at the Hotel Gutenberg the next time I am in Strasbourg!

It is a great place to stay to see Strasbourg. Very convenient to walk around and see everything. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean and quiet. It can be difficult to get here by automobile, but parking is nearby. It was our second stay here and we'd continue to stay at this nice hotel.

The room was quite spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was also adequately sized. All very clean and well maintained. The staff was very courteous and helpful recommending restaurants and explaining how to use the tram to get to the train station. Breakfast was nice and with good offerings. Location is perfect.

The room smelled like stale cigarette smoke, the bathroom was unusably small (even by European standards), and the "gourmet breakfast" left a lot to be desired. The hotel definitely does not live up to a 4-star rating.

For a hotel that charges almost 400€ a night, the size of the room isn’t even the main issue. What’s unacceptable is that they take away the AC remotes and refuse to let guests use the air-conditioning because it’s winter. The room had zero ventilation — we woke up in the middle of the night unable to sleep because it was so stuffy. We tried opening the windows, but then it was impossible to sleep due to all the street noise and people chatting at 2am. I’m all for conserving energy and water but not at the expense of losing sleep from the lack of ventilation. There is also no soundproof at all from your room to the hallway outside so expect to hear every single movement from your neighbours. Overall, extremely uncomfortable and not what you’d expect at this price point. Book somewhere else.
