The location is great for us- in the centre & handy for banks, shops & restaurants. Friendly staff & plenty of choice at breakfast.

Rooms are clean but outdated, small bathroom, balcony overlooking a coffee shop roof, no full length mirror in the room. I wouldn’t choose again.

The hotel is situated in the city center, near close to the beach and shops. Old Town is a 15-minute close away. Strenghts: - location - the hotel is renovated - friendly staff - air conditioning Weaknesses: - we booked two rooms at the same price, but the differences were big, so i asked to change my room (even if the hotel was fully booked, they offered us another room, not as big and equipped as our friends', but better than the first one) - water was flowing next to the shower cabin - the shower cabin was small - towels were changed only once every two days - the initial cleaning was superficial - I received small bottles of shampoo and shower gel only in the first day - I did not receive water in the room at all

Location, quiet, safely, friendly staff. We stayed at Lydia Hotel every time we visited Rhodes, and this was our 4th time staying at Lydia.

Just an overnight stay, it was comfortable and clean although the room could do with updating. The buffet breakfast was very good. The biggest problem was the parking, took ages to find a parking space in the street.

To start, the hotel is impossible to find, we drove up and down the village for about 40 minutes before we took what looked like a walking path that led to the hotel. Better online directions would definitely avoid travellers anxiety and partner conflict!!! The hotel shows better online but overall it was OK, the room is dated but very large. The view more than makes up for the dated furnishings as it is truly stunning. The breakfast is good if you have no food intolerances, traveling GF is definitely a challenge for breakfast, the pastries looked delicious. The stiff for the most part helpful only one grumpy host when we arrived. Daytime staff more than helpful and willing to assist, even a friendly hello when seen offsite in the village.

Summary: Great location, good price, very pleasant staff. We want to especially point out Maria from the kitchen and Maria from the bar area who were very nice and helpful with our kids (who are a bit noisy and messy). Food was relatively good but very limited selection (good but basic), hotel was very nice but does not have many services. Minibar (water, canned drinks) was well priced - more than local stores but still very reasonable. Positives: Nice room Nice staff Great location we were offered at reception a free phone with internet (did not take in case we break it as there are charges if damaged plus we felt 'free' without a phone for most of the day) Air conditioning Was very quiet in the lobby/dining room Less positive: unfortunately no view in our quadrouple room almost no English TV (although cannot compare to other hotels) Our room had only a shower (bath would have helped with kids) Limited food selection Not many services (although we knew this from the description) - but the location made up for it in our view. Negative: We were able to hear talking clearly from the through the 'childrens room' wall. Luckily they were quiet in the evening but at some points we clearly heard someone talking loudly. Overall for the price and location we had an excellent stay and were happy, just the sound from other room and somewhat limited food selection were the only letdowns.
