The hotel was clean and right at the beach. I honestly have no complaints. It was amazing.

The room itself was nice and had a great see view. The hotel is advertised as two connected properties with spa amenities but in reality they are pretty disjointed and quite a bit of walk from each other. The spa reservation system is not great because there is no online way to reserve a massage and one needs to go to a remote reception spot to reserve it between 10 am and 7 pm (which is prime time NOT to be at the hotel). So we ended up skipping it because of that and also the prices were relatively high. The breakfast was decent but not spectacular and the entire hotel seemed to cater mostly to older German demographic who seemed to complain quite a lot about things which didn't add to good vibes exactly. The grounds were pretty good and the private beach seemed great to use in the summer but we were there in March and it was too cold to swim. The biggest issue was the gym/pool/sauna area that is apparently open to people outside the hotel and it was ridiculously crowded and as a result looked uncared for. The staff was ok but nothing special and actually couldn’t accommodate a few simple requests.

The hotel had everything we needed. A gorgeous bar to watch the sunset every evening. Good choices at the buffet dinner.

Great views from the rooms. Great amenities (gym, pools, etc.). I already told local friends this should be the place they recommend to others who come to visit. Easy parking in the area (compared to other places) and easy to get around. Staff was also excellent - friendly and responsive.

Room was spotless, stayed for two weeks, couldn’t ask for better service, staff was attentive, friendly and polite Check in and out was smooth, facilities are amazing, food was exceptional and the location was perfect Thanks to everyone at this wonderful place

No conditioner in the rooms, the breakfast had almost no meat selection & was very underwhelming. There wasn’t really anything that stood out about the property & the pictures were very deceiving.

I loved everything about this hotel. The food is amazing, the staff are so nice and helpful, and there are so many things to do, both at the hotel and on the island. The hotel itself is very nice. My room was large and comfortable. I had to extend my stay due to bad weather and they were very accommodating. I will definitely be back!

I stayed here with my family for my 40th birthday, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. From a surprise champagne toast at breakfast to personalized room touches I didn’t even have to request, everything was perfect. I’m so grateful to the staff for making my stay unforgettable. I would absolutely come back again!

I loved this hotel. Everything was perfect — the room and its size, the breakfast, the pool, the access to the beach, and all the other services. This hotel is practically the highlight of my trip to Madeira.

Amazing property

We stayed there for long weekend ahead of moving to property in Funchal. Excellent modern hotel with emphasis on sustainability. The only suggestion I'd make is when you book the pictures you see of the hotel with sea access is the sister hotel the Galomar. I thought we had booked this. Doesnt really matter as Galomar is literally 5 mins walk away.

We had an awesome room with ocean view and were treated to champagne and a romantic set up as a welcome gift for our honeymoon. The Oceanside pool and spa was beautiful. The breakfast and dinner buffet had great variety and price was reasonable. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The room AC was not working during our stay. The hotel could not fix it and we could not sleep properly during our stay. The room given to us was a pigeon hole with a distant view of the sea and was totally different from the pictures shown before booking. Buffet dinner was terrible with a server named Sonia showing bad attitude. While the view outside the hotel and possibly some rooms may have good views, it was a very disappointing experience. Will not go back there or recommend it to anyone else either.
