It's not possible to write a more positive review for Al Ponte Mocenigo and its very marvellous and friendly staff who made for a wonderful stay. We've travelled to Venice on many occasions, but the experience of staying here was head and shoulders above the rest of the locations we've previously stayed at. It's an ideal setting within Santa Croce and within walking difference of Ferrovia Santa Lucia, wonderful local Venetian restaurants and bars, and tourist hotspots such as Rialto. It gives an authentic flavour of Venice that continues to make it a very special place for us. Breakfast was also fantastic and set us up beautifully for each day.
The room was so traditionally Venetian, and extremely charming, quiet and peaceful. The comfortable beds gave us the best night's sleep we had across a two week trip travelling around Italy. Had we not planned and booked to move on to Florence, we would have asked to stay for at least another week with absolute certainty.
But what sets this hotel apart from all the others we've stayed in was the kindliness, generosity and helpfulness of the staff, who made us feel very well looked after and completely at home for the entirety of our stay - including our 8-year old daughter, who was absolutely devastated to move on and begged us to stay longer!
Thank you so much everyone for making our precious two days in Venice very memorable indeed - we can't wait to come back and stay with you again!
