Great hotel

An excellent and very friendly hotel. This hotel has excellent facilities throughout which are maintained to a very high standards including pools, bars games area etc. The location is perfect with easy access to the boardwalk, nearby bars and restaurants. The rooms were immaculate and well equipped.The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful throughout the visit. I will definitely be returning for another visit.

Lovely area

The hotel is amazing, the staff are so friendly and helpful. We visit this hotel several times a year, it's our home from home.

Good stay

It’s a really nice place to stay. Unfortunately there was building works going on on the road next to the hotel. It would only have affected the rooms on our side, the works were noisy and started every morning between 7:45 and 8am. Our daughter and grandson were staying with us on the sofa bed in the lounge area. Unfortunately they got the joys of the nighttime entertainment at the hotels ocean breeze bar, until after 11pm. We could have requested a room move but decided to stay put as our grandson felt settled. The pool area is very well organised with a sunbed booking system - it makes so much sense I can’t understand why more hotels don’t do this. The pool was cold, last Easter it was heated and the experience of using the pool was excellent. Our 6 year old grandson got so cold he didn’t do half as much swimming as last year. The rooms are good (beds on the firm side) and well cleaned. The staff here are outstanding, friendly and courteous at all times. This is probably our 10th visit here and we will come back again.

We’ve been staying at the Santa Barbara for many years and have always found it to suit our needs. It’s an apartment-hotel, and as such is different from the normal type of hotel you find in the main resorts, which is why we like it, but those looking for an all-inclusive style experience should look elsewhere. Staff are great, and the apartments are well equipped and spacious. The area around the hotel is quiet, but lovely, and San Blas and Los Abrigos are walkable and great places to eat or simply enjoy a drink and the view.

Have stayed at Santa Barbara many times. The staff are excellent, the location is excellent, pool excellent, sunbed booking arrangement stops unnecessary “bed wars”, the accommodation can vary only depending on the room location, not always the view you would love. This occasion we had a fab room, always loads of space very clean.

Enjoyable stay at Santa Barbara a quiet resort but with enough entertainment and good restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful.

This is our 5th stay at the Santa Barbara and the first time we've been uncomfortable around the pool! We planned a relaxing week sunning ourselves around the pool as usual, however, the amount of children/toddlers running around the main pool was unbearable. Screaming children, balls thrown around the pool aswell as ball games in the pool was nothing wed experienced here on our previous stays. Children should be in the childrens pool not the main pool where people are trying to relax.

Great quality hotel

You have to reserve a space by the pool in advance. They charge 2.00 a day for towels which is annoying. The pool bar was a mess. And not run by the hotel so you couldn’t charge to your room. And checkout time is 10:00 am.

Our room was extremely clean. We had all the facilities we needed for self catering. The free courtesy shower room was great. Only downside is the bar area. We waited at least 5 minutes to be served then another 10 to actually get our drinks.
