All was good except the tv remote. The batteries were held in with duct tape, which did nothing as you had to hold them in if you wanted the remote to work, hardly 4 star. Apart from that we both enjoyed our stay.

The hotel staff were really nice and friendly. The food was lovely and reasonably priced The leisure facilities was clean and fairly modern. Only down side was the noise in the room, I was on a ground floor room and could clearly hear the occupants above with someone obviously leaving early I would suggest requesting an upstairs room if you can.

We had a very nice room. Very comfortable bed and really good size. It had a sofa and 2 comfortable winged chairs. Very nice views over the loch and due to the time of years snow topped mountains.

The external of the hotel is tired looking. We stayed in a luxury room which was spacious but furniture was tired and the bed creaked noisily when making the slightest move. There was mould staining in the bath sealant. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is set in a beautiful location and there are stunning views across Loch Ard. I enjoyed the food .the rstraunt is very pleasant.

Arrived to no tv signal in the room, with no communication from the hotel before or on arrival, rooms needing upgrades with smart TVs. The sports bar and bistro was closed due to it being seasonal (a pub being seasonal in the UK is a new one). Forced to congregate in the restaurant bar area with limited seating and zero atmosphere or entertainment and accept the higher rates of food from the garden restaurant. Selection of drinks for a self proclaimed luxury hotel was woeful. If you're travelling here bring your own for your room, you'll need it trust me! Now to the worst part, the food... Never in my life have I seen a full English breakfast so poor. Link sausage cooked on one side for what I can only imagine was a minute, bacon cooked under a ceiling light with zero colour on it, and a limp potato scone. Wouldn't have served it to my dog. From what I can see online they have the cheek to charge around £25 for the breakie which is absolutely outrageous. Until this place gets major refurbishment with better facilities I would avoid this.

Beautiful location with great views over Loch Ard and plenty of parking available onsite. Stay was enjoyable although Hotel needs a bit of updating in places. Overall experience was spoiled by the terrible restaurant service

I had a terrible experience with the Restaurant services, the manager made us wait 45 minutes and we had two kids for breakfast.. the room was not in a good condition not even the bathroom.

Gorgeous atmosphere in a remote location. Best massage of my life at the spa. The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful, willing to hold bags before check in and arrange a taxi to take us back to Glasgow at the end of the stay. Some of the property needed a light cleaning (stains on leather seats that could easily be wiped down). Food was delicious and diverse for lunch and dinner, however breakfast was a bit mediocre. Rooms were too hot even on a snowy day, but the atmosphere was peaceful. I would totally stay here again.

The room was lovely, with a seating area and balcony with a view over the loch which was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately the TV had no reception and the casting didn’t work which was disappointing. The breakfast was okay, but overpriced. The hotel also lost mains water due to a burst pipe in the area. This was outside of their control but meant they had to close the pool and spa which was one of the main attractions of the hotel. It was a very expensive stay just for a good view though.

Loved my stay here. My room was beautiful and spacious with a fantastic view over the gardens to the loch. Very large cosy bed, little seating area and dressing table. The bathroom was bigger than mine at home! Tea and coffee supplies were well stocked as were the complimentary toiletries. Only one drawback - shampoo but no conditioner. All staff so friendly and attentive. Breakfast was divine accompanied by the views. Can’t rate this hotel highly enough. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable, can’t wait to return in the spring.

Beautiful setting and comfy room, food was really disappointing though and when I mentioned this at check-out the staff didn't seem surprised.

The hotel has so much potential but unfortunately let down on a couple of key areas. Firstly it’s looking tired but even some basic housekeeping would have tidied a lot of this up (broken tiles, lick of paint etc). Main gripe though was the food and the price of it. Kids garlic bread was £5 and was basically just two slices of garlic bread from a supermarket with some cheese chucked on top. Then served undercooked. My wife and I both ordered 2 different curries (at £20 each) The sauce they served it in was miserly and it was the exact same sauce (despite being two different curries). The rafters bar and restaurant was closed (not enough staff it seems). We also ordered some nachos at £9. Hardly any cheese on them so most of them were dry. Second day we made sure to eat out elsewhere (but you need to be able to drive as it’s in the middle of no where). Went to nick Nairns place 15 mins away at port of Menteith. Dinner was far superior and cost less than our dinner the previous night.

Mouldy shower. Very tired. Understaffed. Pool was shut. Dinner menu basic and uninspiring pub food. Didn’t have any glasses of wine on list (order hadn’t arrived apparenty). Massively overcharged for another glass (£18). Poor breakfast selection. Overall, a very tired, run down place. Not recommended.

One night stay for my partners birthday. Check in speedy and room was very clean and comfortable. One of the complimentary bottles of water was empty but a call to reception resolved this promptly. Bed was super comfy, views from room over the Loch were stunning. Breakfast was delicious in morning. Probably one of best hotel breakfasts ever had. Staff brilliant, location the best. Limited mobile signal on most networks and WiFi patchy but when here for a getaway, you won’t need either.
