I found this hotel to be quite average overall. There was a persistent odor in the room, which I eventually traced to the carpeting. The room lacked some basic amenities, such as shampoo and a small coffee maker, which are typically expected. The location also felt rather isolated, requiring a taxi to reach more lively areas or attractions. Additionally, the breakfast quality ranged from low to average, and didn’t quite meet expectations.

Overall good however there is not even shampoo/hygiene products besides 2 small soaps which was strange, at least they could mention it in the offering so next visitors won't need to go for a shopping for shampoo middle of the night.

it was a good stay. the room are clean and comfy. the only thing that i dont like in this hotel is there is coffee maker inside the room and they made us pay for it in the morning in yhe restaurant…

Great hotel, close to planetarium and park area. Nice place for a relaxing stay.

Very clean and on the whole great amenities. Close to all the sights. Only thing disappointing was no tea/coffee making facilities and coffee machine was packed away at 21:00 and who comes back before then!

Great location, clean, comfortable. Generally a good choice. Stay did not come with breakfast, which was fine. But not even a cup of coffee in the AM? Was told I had to buy breakfast for one cup of coffee. Lame at this price point.

Had a three night stay here, we stayed in a "Large Mama" room which was spacious. The room had a very large TV which offered streaming, chromecast etc. The room had a sufficient number of power points and offered some USB charging though these were slow and one pair didn't work. There is also a basic mini-fridge in the room which is always a welcome bonus. The storage in the room is extremely limited offering a couple of baskets, a shelf and some totally open hanging space, would have liked some cupboards or drawers. If you were here a week it would look quite messy. There is a desk and a single armchair to sit in. The lighting in the main area of the room at night is far too dim, you certainly wouldn't want to try and work in the light level offered. The bed is very comfortable and the sheets good quality but the pillows were incredibly soft and did not find them particularly comfortable. The bathroom is very nice and the shower extremely powerful and lovely and hot, the "solid toiletries" are a bit odd, glad we brought our own. The Air conditioning was inadequate. I want a control where I choose the temperature not "make it 1-3 degrees warmer or caller" The style of the hotel is very modern and exuberant, lots of colours and things to look at....I very much enjoyed the old school arcade machines that have hundreds of old emulated computer games on them. There was also table football, ping pong and various other things about the place.

The hotel and bar/restaurant were faultless. The hotel is also situated outside the tram stop, which takes you near the Old Town.

This is my utmost pleasure to review about this gem of a hotel in Prague quarter where I grew up. I stayed in Mama Shelter in April 2025 for more than a week and every day was a joy to return to the hotel after a long day out and about. The reception is open 24 hours and Mr. Matěj, who was checking me in was very friendly, kind and efficient. I was also lucky that he was checking me out at my departure. The room cleaning was absolutely immaculate and regular every day, and the bed and bedding had a luxurious feel. The room was very quiet and you didn't hear any commotions/noise from neighbouring rooms. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect and central and get you quickly to every part of Prague. My sincere thank you to all cleaning ladies, to all staff and to Mr. Matěj at the reception to make my stay so special. I certainly will be coming again, hopefully soon!

Stayed for Prague half marathon. Room was really spacious and I was able to work during the day with plenty of comfort. Rest of hotel was excellent. Lots of interactive gaming and facilities. I’d come back with my family. Also there is a tram directly outside so whilst a little way from the tourist hotspots this made them easily accessible.

We stayed at Mama’s Shelter in Prague for my wife’s birthday, and the experience was absolutely amazing. The hotel went above and beyond to make the occasion special and memorable for her. From the thoughtful touches to the warm hospitality, everything contributed to a truly unforgettable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location couldn’t be more convenient—close to everything we wanted to explore. Thank you, Mama’s Shelter, for helping us create such a beautiful birthday memory!
