I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Riad Yacout and feel obligated to warn future guests. I am writing this review to warn future guests. My booking at Riad Yacout was fully confirmed in writing for 7 nights (16–23 December), with two suites reserved. The confirmation clearly stated “Your booking is confirmed” and did not require advance payment. The booking terms were pay on arrival. Despite this, the riad attempted to charge my card before arrival, without authorisation and contrary to the confirmed terms. I immediately replied in writing, politely explaining that payment was agreed to be made upon arrival and asking them to honour the original booking. Instead of correcting their error, the riad cancelled my confirmed reservation. I then spoke with Asma at the front desk, who confirmed the cancellation and stated that rooms were now only available for five days, leaving me effectively stranded. During this call, both Asma and Layla were rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help. No apology or meaningful solution was offered. Cancelling a confirmed pay-on-arrival booking because an unauthorised pre-charge failed — and then treating the guest with disrespect — is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. I strongly advise travellers to be cautious when booking here. If any issue arises, do not expect fairness, accountability, or basic courtesy.

Upon arrival we had to move our bikes which were parked same place as the locals but only our bikes were made to move to a spot where we had to pay a guy.Its open public parking not a private garage were you are made to believe on line….very misleading. Having said that the bikes were fine the next day . The plunge pool had murky water so we didn’t use it. Food and break fast was good and location is excellent. Disappointed they did not accept credit card and we had to go and get cash for the food.

Excellent riad just inside the medina. Very helpful staff, good rooms, and pleasant atrium area. Ignore poor reviews - this place is well worth it.

Breakfast is excellent, very nice staff. Public Parking in front to pay in advance 20 drh per day. Compared to dutch prices 🤯 we can live with this just fine. The room 3 stars because there is no door to the toilet/ bathroom. Sometimes tourists get sick 😳 and thank god we didn’t. We had room 6, I think the smallest but ok for us. One point of attention: the waterpressure. Try to shower as the first one in the morning or in the afternoon. Our shower hardly gave cold water so the water was way too hot. One disadvantage of all riads: windows face the open area in the middle so keep windows closed for privacy. The rooftop terras is large and nice but at this moment too hot to be. The little pool is undeep but nice to cool off. Although it was a bit dirty with leaves and insects because of the hard wind. Circulation pomp was off. But very charming and nicely decorated riad on a central location.

Very nice place, with an extraordinary decorations, the rooms were cosy and the air conditions is just a mess. They should be careful and tell people that there are no AC in the rooms or it's far from the bedroom. Otherwise, the Riad on the photos are totally different from what appears in the photos. The staff is amazing and very friendly.
