Beautiful exterior, but rooms are quite old, toilets are not well maintained with rusty tap (in a 5-star hotel?) Pool was closed in end of Sep, but on the Expedia website hotel description, it says seasonal pool is only closed from October. Receptionist is not helpful nor friendly while check-in. It is not a 5-star experience that is expected. Restaurant staff is attentive though. Overall, do not recommend this hotel for this price.

Wonderful spa hotel on site of former convent. Well outside city center in quiet and peaceful compound. Luxurious accommodations and excellent staff. Was perfect for a relaxing stay. Culinary delights were beyond fantastic.

Beautiful if rather remote hotel. We had a lovely stay here and really enjoyed the calm relaxed environment. You do need a car though.

Very comfortable - the rooms were very welcoming. the grounds have a lot of history - the staff were very friendly and helpful. A bicycles were a plus.

Hotel.bars,pool etc were all great BUT room housekeeping was poor with no spare toilet paper, no tissues in an empty dispenser, curtains which were off their runners and a safe which continually malfunctioned.No coffee for the in room service and initially no glasses for mini bar/water etc. Not 5 star standard!!! #

The hotel is incredibly, it is literal in the middle of nowhere which might be a bit difficult to find if your driving but I’m that also makes it very special being away of noise and crowds, it’s a place simple to relax and enjoy, service is absolutely excellent, if you want to have a completely different holidays, to really relax or to celebrate something special this is the place, you won’t regret it 😊

Beautiful hotel friendly staff

Everything was perfect, the hotel, the staff, specially Alessandra, the room, the food, the spa. Took a walk around the property in the trail, breathless. 5 *****! Will return! Grazie mille!

My wife and I stayed for two days at this grand hotel and spa. Service was first rate and the facility is extraordinary. Food was excellent, although the dinner menu is primarily fish dishes. The spa was fantastic and professionally staffed. A memorable couple of days and we look forward to a return visit.

The hotel is located a few kilometres outside of Taranto on a small hill within massive olive groves. Driving up to the hotel I first thought it is a small village just to find out that the village was indeed converted into this amazing hotel. Walking into the courtyard towards the reception one immediately got the feeling of grandeur and class. A feeling that was confirmed over the days of our stay. The room was very impressive with a cathedral ceiling and exposed brick. It was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The restaurant is amazing with impeccable service and outstanding food. The prices are definitely comparable to good restaurants in the region. I have to mention the quality of service again as it was truly first class. This is a place I will never forget. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to this gem.
