Excellent property quite and pleasant

Stayed here when it was the penta hotel, still good, only criticism is parking, could do with more spaces.

This was a business trip, I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the air conditioning. During my stay they were having extensive building works carried out but I have to say it was seamless for me. I heard no noise whatsoever as it was all done whilst I was at work. The only issue was there were less car parking spaces but the work men were very accommodating as well. I literally went out one day and came back and the old restaurant had been blocked off and a new one opened. The staff were even really kind in helping me enquire about some pictures I had been admiring on the wall in the morning! All the staff were really helpful and kind and at one point a huge bus party of European tourists arrived, one member of staff was trying to sort out access and she did it so patiently making sure everyone's needs were met. I'm sure that the disruptions were difficult for the staff but it did not affect me at all. There is a lovely outside space where you can sit by the river and have a drink or a bite to eat, the Korean Chicken bites were to die for I had them three nights running. I would definitely stay here again. I am looking forward to seeing it all finished.

Staff very accommodating

Very limited parking, ended up parking across the water 5 minute walk. Breakfast a little uninspiring, not the highest quality. Decent coffee though! Staff friendly and helpful.

Property was being renovated at the time no notice to suggest this was taking place unable to access some rooms. Key card not working didn’t get the full experience.

Even though the hotel was undergoing a refurbishment, all the staff were so helpful it really didnt matter. A temporary bar was in place and the restaurant was fully working.

Comfortable clean bedroom - good size tv and comfy beds. Clean modern bathroom and shower. Good choice at breakfast. Helpful staff. Very convenient for station and close to local bus stop but a fair walk into the centre of town.

Nice hotel pleasant staff

Great staff, great service. The property is modern and looks great. The parking situation is not ideal but workable.

The hotel is a short walk from the station. When i stayed there were builders in working on the hotel but they were not working between the hours of 5 in the afternoon and 8 in the morning so caused me no issues. This is my second stay and its a convenient hotel with nice rooms and a good breakfast

It was easy to get to the waterfront And the train station and the cinema and I’m looking forward to coming back when all the building work has finished the staff were fantastic and very helpful

Brilliant place

Nice and clean. However i think the charge of £14.50 for breakfast if you dont order it the night before is dteep when compared to normal price of £10.it should be the same. Breakfast is average quality

Fit the bill for what I wanted. It's handy for the station. Modern interior. Excellent breakfast. I slept fine. There is ongoing refurbishment but only in the daytime so didn't bother me. The room has got a/c, it's a bit noisy but i like the white noise. The double bed only had 2 pillows and the duvet barely covered the mattress. this was ok for me but not great for a couple.would stay again if in the area.

Disappointed with the personal service and enthusiasm of staff. Hotel seemed nice though. I booked a double room but was given a twin. Car park is very very small and had to park over the other side of a river and walk back in darkness over the bridge in an area not familiar with. Some people may not feel safe doing that at night (i arrived at midnight). One of the push buttons on the toilet to flush was missing. Good shower and clean enough
