This was the fourth Parador that we stayed in on our driving trip around Spain. Like all the other Paradors, the staff were delightful. Unlike the other Paradors, the building is relatively modern (built in the 1950s) and our room was fairly small (in comparison with other Paradors). There was no kettle or tea/coffee making equipment in the room. The swimming pool looked delightful but we could not use it because all swimming pools at Paradors open on 1 June and we were 10 days too early! Teruel itself is well worth a visit - the highlights for us included the magnificent Escalinata and the famous lovers mausoleum attached to the Church of San Pedro, plus of course the four Towers. The location of the Parador is worth a mention - it is just over a mile from the centre of town (as the crow flies) but a bit longer by car. We did not want to have to drive into Teruel and find a parking place so we enquired about taxis. The response was discouraging - taxis were sparse and very difficult to get at peak times. We were somewhat reluctant to try to walk into Teruel as the Parador is close to the dual carriageway which leads into town and walking at the side of a dual carriageway is not to be recommended! We ordered a taxi at the Parador at around 11am (off peak) and waited in hope. Of course, a taxi turned up 10 minutes later and took us into town. The return journey was equally simple around 4pm - available taxis were waiting at the taxi stop near to the Tourist Information Office.

the lobby area was lovely but the room was disappointing. It definitely needed updating. Parking was no problem.

Reception was not very friendly indeed; rare in Spain. First we ordered a room with balcony; they gave us a different one without execuse etc but said “we only have this” (take it or leave it style! In the room we found a very dirty pillow on the bed which was a big shock (as if somebody vomitted on and it was not changed)!

Comfortable stay in nice surroundings. A gym would have been good.

Lovely place to stay. Plenty of free parking on site. Spacious room. Easy walking distance to Teruel town. Head for the historic centre - plenty outdoor bars/ restaurants - quite cheap. Worth going up the steps from the bar area as they take you to a lovely, large open space. Walk over the pedestrian bridge - worthwhile. Would certainly stay at the parador again if I was in the area. Only 90 minutes from Valencia - very easy to get there by car.

Great location for a stopover on our way south 25 minute walk into the historic centre which was very nice. We will visit this lovely historic hotel in the future.

Our stay at the Parador was absolutely wonderful. The property itself is beautifully maintained, full of character, and rich in history. The architecture and atmosphere truly make you feel like you’re experiencing something special and uniquely Spanish. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the peaceful setting. The dining experience was also excellent, with delicious local cuisine and great service. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and we would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for charm and history.

Room good, very clean with excellent bathroom. Only drawback, as is usual in Spanish hotels, no kettle! Staff friendly and courteous. Restaurant didn’t open until 20.30 for dinner which is a bit late for us Brits especially with the hour time difference.

Beautiful building and lovely room. Everything was spotless and the service was excellent.

The building itself is a beautiful piece of cultural history. The rooms are decorated accordingly and it offers space with both quiet and social areas to relax in. The staff were so professional and personable.

Hotel a bit tired but grounds well kept. Nice gardens and swimming pool ok. Bed was really comfortable and bedding and towels prestine. Very quiet. Slept really well. Unable to rent a kettle for the room which was a little bit disappointing. Staff very pleasant

There are no buses to the Parador and need to take taxis if you don't go by car. Taxis are 9 euros to the center. Lovely and quiet place, excellent food. Staff are efficient and helpful.

If you are looking for a wonderful hotel experience, go to a Parador. This one is great.

Our stay was perfect. Just what we needed after driving 400 miles. Beautiful hotel and our room was really, really nice. So comfortable. Thank you.
