Booked a late check out. Didn't require it in the end so (in plenty of time, before our actual check out time) asked to reverse this. Was told no, and that because I'd paid they couldn't reverse the payment. Won't be staying here again

I had to pay £5 / day to park there. There was no forewarning of this when I originally booked. The hotel was good, and we were looked after well

This is a regular stop for us en route to Scotland. Rooms are very clean and the service is exceptional- always. They do a very cheap meal deal for dinner and breakfast. Can’t really fault it.

The stay was generally comfortable. No AC could be a issue if the weather is hot. Wasn't impressed with the £5 charge for customers who booked through Hotels.com /Expedia.no mention of this before arrival. No handwash in room either. Finally if on southbound carriageway no access.However staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience.

Easy check in

2nd time around, great stay, reasonably quite and comfortable.

Convenient , quiet despite close to motorway, nice rooms, friendly staff

lovely comfy beds, welcoming staff, only area for improvement would be having sufficient cooked breakfast items, as we had to wait for top ups

Fairly comfortable with everything I needed

The hotel is called Chorley South but is located on the northbound side of the motorway so we had to lug our luggage over the bridge (my partner was on crutches and the escalator was out of use at one end), my bed was lumpy, there wasn't any shampoo in the dispenser in the shower, someone opened the room to our door in the morning (assuming cleaner; there wasn't a Do Not Disturb sign to hang on door handle) and we've just received a parking fine despite providing our car registration during check-in and being assured that there was nothing more we needed to do.

Didn’t look outside property apart from molehills on ground outside window. Was disappointed having to pay £5 for parking in your grounds.

I have stayed at this hotel before and that went well so I booked again. Large spacious car park, clean throughout, efficient check in and superb, happy, welcoming staff. I especially want to recognise Seonaid on reception who ran reception and bar so well, and Alix the chef on duty, who despite having very few restaurant users, still prepared the meals to a very high standard with generous portions and excellent presentation. A pleasure to interact with professional hospitality employees.

Sad to see that a parking charge was made I will no stay here again after receiving this charge without being informed when I made the booking

Great hotel for the money. Not easy finding the way into the car park from the services though. Road had no entry signs, but that was the way on for hotel guests.

Good as always however be aware that a charge for car parking is now in place if you don’t book directly through the welcome break.

Room was very warm (probably due to the sun) Had to pay £5 per night for parking which wasn’t obvious on the booking Difficult to access if coming and going from southbound M6 Staff friendly
