Great position Rooms need to be updated

Phantastic view over Lake Constance from our balcony

Exceptionally disappointing! Too many wasps meant it was impossible to enjoy the terrace. The number of wasps buzzing round at breakfast was only exceeded by the number of hotel guests buzzing round the coffee machine (seriously the queues at breakfast were awful). Really disappointed given the amount I paid for the rooms.

A family of four, we stayed in one of the junior suites, with a queen bed and a converted sofa bed. The room was very spacious, had large closet space, and the bath came with double sinks. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows with an absolutely breathtaking view over the Bodensee. Staff was all very friendly, though despite us speaking German and English, at times there were some language-based communication challenges with restaurant staff that could be improved. Our family also very much liked the breakfast buffet. It was super easy to grab a bus at a nearby bus stop to head down into town and enjoy the promenade. If there would be two things I'd love to see improve, it would be dedicated smoking / non-smoking sections for the restaurant's terrace. Like us, I noticed several other guests being disturbed by other guests smoking and taking away from what is otherwise a great outside breakfast and dining experience. The second thing, which I recognize will not be easy and certainly isn't a fault of the hotel / staff, would be to find a way to keep wasps at bay. There were plenty of wasps disturbing guests--including our kids--and it also took away from the experience while eating on the terrace. This was our first stay here and surely not our last--we look forward to coming back to this property!

Excellent view of the mountains. Otherwise this hotel is OK but not great. Christmas dinner service was substandard. Drinks very late, salad wilted. Rooms overheated. Worst: They charged us twice for the Christmas dinner and overcharged the already generous tip too. I luckily noticed all this during checkout. The entire service experience felt amateurish and dilettante.

My room was pretty small, though clean. For one night it was ok. Breakfast was very good.

Lovely hotel but there shoukd be info about the steep hill to get to the place. Bike riding is common and it is a long way up there.

The hotel itself is located slightly outside of the old town of Überlingen. The checkin process took longer than expected as the staff member was not very familiar with the registration system. Apparently there is a tax foreigners must pay if they are staying as tourists. The staff member put one of us down as a tourist and the other as a business traveller and then asked us both to pay the tax. Over all it just didn't feel very welcoming. To access our rooms (east wing) we had to walk all the way to the back of the hotel, through the bar, the restaurant, the pool and the spa, and at the end the staff member gave us the wrong floor. The rooms feel quite dated, but I guess this is exactly what regular guests (mostly retirees) feel most at home in. The breakfast in the morning was probably the highlight, you can sit out on the balcony overlooking the Bodensee.

We really enjoyed our night here and would return. Our room had a view of the lake and although the weather was not at it’s best it was still beautiful. The bed very very comfortable with good quality linen and the bathroom spacious with a bath a shower. We used the inside pool which was enjoyable and the outside terrace was perfect the following morning for breakfast. The choice was excellent and well laid out. A great stay and we would love to return.

Amazing view, beautiful outdoor garden, tranquil atmosphere and friendly staff.

It was very good, views across the lake were exceptional but it is a good 20 minutes walk to the centre of town. We drove the car into town and parked in a multi story car park which only cost 1 euro.

The staff was friendly. The room was large and clean. The food was good. But, the hotel denied dinner to us the night of Christmas eve and for this I will never forget this experience and will never return to your premises. Telling us that there were no space available two nigtalhs before Xmas, knowing that it was going to be impossible to find another place is a plane and simple lack of respect and consideration. I wish that your stiff and difficult to comprehend behavoir will not pass unnoticed to anybody else considering a stay in your hotel.
