We booked a deluxe lake view room. The view was amazing but the room was so small that it didn’t have 2 night stands. It was like a $50 a night Econolodge off a highway. There is no air conditioning and it was very warm. We tried to open the windows but bugs immediately flew in. Breakfast was good and the pool and spa area are top notch. Overall it was overpriced and definitely not 4 stars.

Match the rate 4 star. Have potential of doing better. Smaller menu would be more interesting, but I guess with the type of client/ guest it’s ok.

Beautiful setting over looking Bodensee. Our room was small but well equipped with amenities. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub but even more thrilled to have the full spa to ourselves.

Room was extremely hot and you could hear concersations below room. No air conditioning and wifi was not good. Town shuts down after 5 on Saturday.

Stayed one night travelling business. Nice views over Bodensee lake. Hotel was clean and service OK.

So the first thing to note is to be careful when you search for a hotel that you're Looking for a location and not a region. We searched for Appenzell, and booked this without noticing that we were in the region, not the town. Our fault. That said, the hotel is in a gorgeous setting and the bus from st Galen offered stunning snowy vistas. The hotel was full of older Swiss people recovering from leg and foot operations . Instead of wine coolers at tables, there were holders for crutches. There is a gorgeous spa and treatment rooms. A fab poo, steam room , sauna and outdoor hot tub, all of which we enjoyed ,even in December. We think we were the only mobile couple there! But it was a quirky adventure !

Loved the hotel and the place.

Smukt hotel med fantastisk beliggenhed. Spaområdet er fint og lækkert - fra poolen er der udsigt til Bodensee. Personalet var imødekommende og særdeles venlige - det var en meget positiv oplevelse.

Zimmer leider direkt über der Küche und Seeblick sehr eingeschränkt. Waren enttäuscht und somit Preis-Leistung nicht erfüllt. Schade, denn hatten uns sehr auf den Aufenthalt gefreut. Reaktion an Récéption auf Rückmeldung war aus meiner Sicht leider auch unzureichend.

The Hotel is clean and everything worked perfectly. The Spa is amazing!

Bra hotell med meget god frokost. Spa-avdeling med utendørs jacuzzi, dampbad, sauna og pool. Fin utsikt mot Bodensee. Rommet manglet aircondition og det gjorde at vi måtte ligge med dør mot balkong åpen. Vi prøvde en tradisjonsrett til middag. Det viste seg å være pølse i makaroni med saus. Ikke verd pengene. Hotellet er fint plassert og godt utgangspunkt for bilturer.

Sehr liebevolles Ambiente. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Man fühlt sich richtig wohl. Das Zimmer ist sehr modern. An der Decke hatte es noch Spinnenweben, im Bad war der Duschstuhl schmutzig, wir benötigten ihn jedoch nicht. Der Spa Bereich ist sehr modern und sauber. Man fühlt sich da ebenfalls wohl. Die Ortschaft und die Aussicht sind ebenfalls toll!

Ein sehr schönes modern renoviertes Hotel, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstücksbuffet ausgiebig und umfangreich. Wellnessbereich sehr sauber. Saubere Zimmer. Zimmer mit Balkon und Seesicht empfehlenswert.
